    HDR1 vs HDR2

Have anyone done the upgrade from HDR1 to HDR2?

Whats the difference, except HDD size?

Can you do it yourself, if you have the electronic know-how?

I want do keep my 4-Drawer Cabinet - Is the upgraded HDR1 a right way to go?

    I will upgrade soon.
The HDR1 will be updated with a 250gb harddrive and new software.
I'm told the screen menus of the HDR1 MKII and HDR2 will not be the same.

It's not an upgrade to HDR2  only disk size... HDR2 is more easy and logic to use. specially with BS3

I have used HDR1 for two years, and it's VERY easy to use.

What's the actual difference Stig ?

    Maybe this is as good as it gets... BV7-40 MKII, BL9, BC2, BL6000, MX4000, Beosound 3, HDR1

HDR2 controls is more like the V8000, and with BS3 you can press stop at any time don't need to go in to tuner mode.(maybe also posssible with HDR1???)

Yes you press stop only. I believe it's very usefull.

Somebody told me that the DVD2 can't make timing records via the text tv !!! That's the main feature of the HDR1.. Works exactly like my old Avant...
