    Beo5 - "Lighting Button"

    Hi,

after I got the new Beo 5 remote I noticed that the "Lighting Button" is not available anymore.

My old Beo4 is equipped with such button which allows me to dim the light up and down and have up to 8 lighting scenes.

Anybody can help how to solve this problem?

It does have a Light button unless your dealer has deleted or hidden it. Anyway if your dealer has deleted it he can re-create it or make it visible

    Regards Keith....

    Hi Sebastien.
A 'Light' button must be added when you have your Beo5 set up by your dealer.
I switched mine back to default settings quite expecting 'Light to be there but it isn't supprisingly.
Have you had your dealer customise it for you?

    Hi,

the Light button is visible "normally" after you press the button in the lower right corner where you also can choose the zones. But it is possible to place it anywhere. Not tried it yet but if your dealer didn't add a LC2 device i think it is also not visible.

Actually I got the Beo5 with its standard configuration ( TV, DVD, CD, Radio buttons only).

I still have to send it back to the dealer to make the necessary update.

My dimming system is made by Lutron.

Before you send it or take it to your dealer, I seriously recommend that you make an extensive plan of what you want adding to it.
You don't want to be running back and fore to your dealer's every two minutes!

    U r right Andy.

It's a big headache having to do the programming at the dealer's showroom rather than doing it at home. The main problem would be for the logos of the satellite TV channels which change from time to time.

    Re: Beo5 - "Lighting Button"

The file with TV and Satellite logos is quite extensive and is unlikely to be a problem, however, as Peter and Keith mentioned in other posts, the local radio station logos are a bit lacking.
If you are computer literate, it might be a good idea to google your local stations, find their logos and using 'Paint' or something similar to make them into Bitmaps of the right size. Whack them onto a CD and take it to your dealer, he should then be able to add them to your configuration.

I am using a nice website to pick up the TV logos.
