Competition:  Who will get the first one, and who will be the first one to write a review on the BV 7-40 MkIII in Europe??

Note: My dealer called me today and said that my new MK III Dark Grey will arrive in two weeks!! Party!!!

The end of dark pictures and bad artefact's from my MK II (Silver)  i hope! Unsure

I have already mine since two weeks, but I am located in Canada. Be assured, you won't be disappointed!

    Regards,

I am very sure I will not get the first one; but for me the update BV7 is also the most anticipated B&O release in a long time. The BV7-40 or (if also updated) the BV7-32 is my intended replaced of my current Avant 100Hz 28" VCR. Therefore I am also very curious to seeing the updated BV7 in flesh!

Hopefully the new BV7 will meet all our high expectations!

Sadly not in the UK - my dealer says that they have still heard November/December for the UK launch of the BV7-40 MKIII. I still wonder what they're planning for the BV7-32 though.

My dealer told me, that for me to upgrade my current BV7-40 MKII (about 4 months old) will be about £1k, dunno if I should do it or not...

I knew the MKIII was coming out, but I really, really needed a TV, and couldn't wait.

If this is true you should do it, but I doubt it is so cheap, as the whole TV is different... the panel (HD) and the engine (BS3)

Dunno, maybe it will end up being a shop floor demo unit, or he will sell it on as a 2nd hand unit, also depends on the price of the upgrade tho (my new BMW 1 arrived yesterday, so I am *well* short of cash Wink).

I checked the service counters last night and it is only registering 20 days of use, so aint been used that often, maybe that will increase my trade in value... hopefully

My local(UK) dealer telephoned this morning to update me on the BV7-40 Mk111 following a dealer seminar/demo in Denmark.

Firstly,it is vastly superior to the Mk11.

Secondly,he is expecting it in store in 2-3 weeks.

Additionally,he advised that B & O is adamant that they will NOT be producing a 46" version.

Given that 50" is really the mininum size for a full HD panel,it is a pity that a 46" BV7 will not be produced.

Terry....but any news from your dealer on the 32" revision (if there will be a revision)? In some ways, I'd rather have a BS3 based BV7-32, without a 'full HD' panel.

My dealer in Spain says that the delivery time for the new BV7-40 MkIII is two weeks. I'm tempted to place my order soon...Hmm I find the timeframe too optimistic though. I would say that one month will be more likely.

    Moxxey,

                unfortunately,the 32" will neither be getting the BS3 chassis,nor a 1080p panel.

Oh-oh, that wasn't the news I (or we) were waiting for. I'll have to upgrade to the BV7-40 now. It's a little large for my apartment though!

The 7-40 mkIII will be shipped next week (to customers in Europe). Price hike is between 0 and 5.000 kroner depending upon where you are. It can be found in your new "October 1st"-price list, and it is called the BeoVision 7-40 Full HD.

I have just placed my order in today for a BV 7-40 III and a pair of B9, the estimated time of arrival is 28th Nov..  GG

My dealer says the hold up could be the new remote, if so they will ship the TV to me first and give me the remote later.

But I am in Australia, doesn't count as EU.   Still I am pretty excited. hehe

Strange, I was in the store today and they say they have not received it.

But they tried to bullshit me and  pretend the existing BV7 is full HD, bcause you can connect a HD set top box! and they ar not the only store that said the same thing to me.

Strange indeed. The set I was looking at was certainly playing Sky HD and the salesman said full HD and the connection was HDMI (although I could not see because of the cover).

That is bad news indeed! How final is this news? How reliable is the source?

Since I have a beamer the combination of the BV7-40 plus beamer seems to be overdone; the combination BV7-32 plus beamer seems more logical. But then it needs to be optimized (1080p not that important; but BS3 kind of chassis and hd beamer output are important).
