    Hi,

According to my retailer here in Stockholm, probably October or November, but they didn't know anymore. We just have to wait and see. Erm

I think 1st October is a little optimistic, I would expect November.  Also there are no plans, that I am aware of, to change the chassis in the 32" version.

The 32" version will change to BeoSystem 3 based, just as the 40" version.

The 32" will not be 1080p though (Full HD).

Release dates are still unknown. But it will happen "soon" - which could mean more or less everything when it comes form B&O ;-)

Is this just wishful thinking - or have you got this info from the inside?

    hagan:

When is the new beovision 7-32 and 40 due to release?

My assumption is that it will be featured/detailed in the forthcoming 2007/2008 catalogue, available in October, so November? November was the date originally given to me by my local dealer and would probably make a lot of sense - people will want to order the product detailed in the catalogue....and if that says 4 HDMI sockets, they can't be sold a BV7-40 with a single DVI, can they? :)

Well, it can't take that long anymore..... My dealer has seen the new BV 7-40 (based on the BS 3 chassis) during the dealermeeting in Berlin. The "old" and the "new" BV 7 stood next to each other and he said that the picture improvement was significant on the new one.

Can't wait to see it in flesh...

Just because it's mellow it doesn't mean it's less evil....

Crossing my fingers that this will happen and that they bring it to the US. That would be the TV I go for.

Great minds think alike.  The 32" version would be great for me also.  I hope B&O brings it to the US soon.

    Hi,

I was told by my dealer that the beovision 7-32 will NOT come in an updated version with BS3; only the beovision 7-40 will come in an updated version with BS3.

However.he also told that B&O will come with a module for beovision 7 that converts the DVI conection into 4 HDMI connections. Both the audio and picture will be transfered in the HDMI cable and then the module will route the picture signal to the DVI connection and the audio to the digital audio in connection(s).

With this module you can still get HDMI connections to e.g. an beovision 7-32 MKIII.

    Cheers,

    Lars.

    Re: New beovision7, when?

They would have to do something about the current chassis. That is too far behind. At the same time, I think the 32" inch can not get the BS3 simply because of pricing. I am still surprised that they do that for the BV7 40 in Europe. What is a bit frustrating for me is, that I like to buy more B&O and start bringing my current system to the next level by adding TV. Have no space though for the 40" and I do not want the TV to dominate the living room to beginn with. I just don't want to buy BC2, BS3, BL7 and projector and then find that they introduce the 32" a bit later.

So I don't think the HDMI module will solve their problems. By the way, similiar hubs are already available form other brands. So the single DVI conenction is not the problem per se.

I think you could be right. I guess we'll know as soon as the new catalogue is released - that contains the specs of their 2007/2008 models, which will have to list the new specs of the forthcoming BV7-32. Should be interesting and only 3 weeks until we get to know..

I don't expect the release of the new Beovision 7 before spring 2008. But I am sure it will be worth the wait.

I expect the picture quality to be dramticly better, due to the use of another LCD panel, maybe even LED backlight used.

"that contains the specs of their 2007/2008 models"

See they could just produce an inlet with updated specs. They have done similiar things before, for example with the MKII upgrade of the US BC2  that came end of 2006 I believe.

It still would be very nnice if they could manage the BV7 32 with a BS as a chassis. You would really get something for your money, even with a non full HD panel which wyou woudn''t need anyway.

This is something I've been waiting for... Does anyone have any more information? Is it going to be software controlled by the TV? (i.e. will it be switching automatically to the correct source?)

    When is it coming?

    Petros,

I have no clue about how it will be controlled.

As far as I understood from my dealer, we can expect this module fairly soon (what ever that means!)

My dealer (in Switzerland) told me today that its now available to order at the same price as the current version. He seemed pretty sure....

I am just guessing, but I suppose it is going to be at the same price, but without the remote... Just an intuituion.

Oh and my dealer said to me that the Beo5 will be a contrained product (available through a waiting list) until the new BV7 is released.
