Re: Beo 5 Countdown- who get the first one...?
The red small logo in the lower middle says SKY+ When I press that it sends DTV---menu---1---green.

Re: Beo 5 Countdown- who get the first one...?
jandyt: As far as I know Ola, the code for PHONO is the same as N.RADIO. This is what you have to use on the later Beo4 model. Therefore, you use the IR code for N.Radio but you can rename the button as phono by using text. A.TAPE is already in there, it's just called tape. Bit of a nuisance if you already use N.RADIO but there is a way round it. Andy T.
Thanks Andy!
Please tell me how to use both Phono and N.RADIO. Do you know where I can find a list with all commands for older systems? Im also looking for A.Tape2.
/Ola

Re: Beo 5 Countdown- who get the first one...?
jandyt: When I press the second button down, which I have called 'Satellite' I am presented with this screen
See that would soon bug me after a short while. I would have to have BBC1-BBC2-ITV1 across the top and would need to re-arrange it. Lets hope the user version software (if there is to be one) comes along soon.

Your dealer will set them up any way you wish. Very pleased with mine though one does use it in a different way than a normal remote. I think you almost need to use it in standard mode first and work out what you want on each screen first and then have it configured.

Nice picture Anders, I like the way you have named Vinyll rather than Phono. Who calls it a phonograph nowadays anyway? Did you take the picture with or without flash? Andy T.

Do I see that right that the keys of the Beo 5 are backlit? :-)
I testet one in a shop at this weekend and it didn't had any light on the buttons?!
@eduard and mr. anders ...:
Do you have the software on your own to "play" with and check configurations out?

The three keys at the bottom of the screen are not back lit, but the rest are. Perfectly satisfactory.

Re: Beo 5 Countdown- who get the first one...?
TWG The backlit keys only light up when it's dark. Perhaps the lighting in the dealers was to bright for backlighting to come on. Looks great in the dark Andy T.

Hello About the sw, no I do not have the sw of the beo-5. I go to my dealer and ask if he can change the layout/colours. It seems that he is still learning from all the thing's I want, and I am learnig aswell as he program the beo-5 for me. In this way I can tell you more about the sw..........So that is the reason!
same for me

Re: Beo 5 Countdown- who get the first one...?
I have seen the software and each key has the ability to be moved and its properties such as name and colour to be changed. New keys can be defined either as command keys where they will operate a function or as keys to access another page on the Beo5. Keys can also be used for macro functions where a number of different commands can be sent by the press of one button. In my view, this software is critical to the usefulness of the remote and in time, when stable, should really come with the remote as otherwise you will be back and forth to your dealer all the time!

Thank you! Very good news and the pictures are awesome! :) As some of you seem to already have seen (oh oh, my english!?) the software in action: Does andybody know how to control 3rd party stuff?
For example: - Sony/Panasonic/JVC/Kenwood/Denon DVD Player, - Sony Playstation 3 (Bluetooth) or (my personal favorite) - Apple Front Row (so we could control Apple TV, Mac mini or even Macbooks with the Beo 5)
My personal opinion: The software SHOULD be availabe via this forum and PN so that some of the "geeks" could find out what is realy possible and what does not work with the Beo 5.Perhaps there's access to the database of manufactures whose components are controllable via Beo 5? And if you program it "till death" you could reset it via software or other options, can't you? A local dealer told me that there is absolutely NO 3rd party support and he didn't know anything about backlit keys (yes, the store was very bright). So the point is: Everybody tells different things and places like this superb forum seem to be the only reliable source for information!

Ok yes you can control 3rd party but not direct, it use STB PUC same as Beo4 I now it works if you have BeoSystem 3 and BV7 The benefit with Beo5 is that you get the STB menu on the Beo5 screen
