    Re: Beolink 7000

To bring the BeoLink 7000 into the test mode you have to apply 10Hz TTL (0-5 Volt) signal to the data input pin at the back of the equipment for at least 2 seconds when the unit is switched on.

So, you have to have a TTL signal generator to do it...

I also would like to check mine, but at the moment I have no signal generator [:-(]

    Beolink 7000 upgrade?

Is it possible to upgrade an old Beolink 7000 to the RDS-model?

    Thanks Tibor....

Also,...Does a Beolink 7000...when it's in the motorized "up" position...have some "play" at the top.????   ie...it's kinda loose..???

    Thanks...

There is a little bit of movement but not too much.

When you look at the remote from behind, you will see a small motor that holds it up which is quite small in comparison to the size of the remote itself.

You may get no contact coming up as nothing will be communicating with the 7000 aswell so dont panic!

I am guessing that you have a non EU version if you are asking this question.

What is the Type number of your Beolink 7000 ?

    Re: Beolink 7000 upgrade?

The type number should be visible from underneath when the remote is folded up in table position.

To change the software requires changing one of the PCBs, and also the glass front panel as they have slightly different key layouts. It would be more cost effective to purchase another 7000 remote with RDS if you want that function.

In my opinion the RDS has limited value as it is only displayed on the blue LCD briefly when the remote is active.

Hi Mobey...it seems that if you motor it up....and set it on the table....then look at the "highest" point of the remote....it will move up approx. 1 cm or a tad less....and then you release it and it moves back down that 1 cm or less ....

    Is that normal??

    Gracias...

The BL 7000 I'm planning to buy is a type 1540. I think that this is a EU-version?

    Re: Beolink 7000 upgrade?

Type 1633 was the MKII USA version with latest 3.1 software produced until 1996 - as far as I know.

Next step: BV7-40 or BS3 with projector ?

I'm lookin for a new front plate (blank alu) for my BL7000.
I have tried with my local dealer but they say it's sold out.

Does anyone know or have one extra?
