    Beocenter 7007 remote

I have recently purchased a Beocenter 7007.  Unfortunately it has no terminal remote.  Does anyone know if remotes from other units will work with the 7007?  I have been trying to track a 7007 remote down on ebay with no luck as yet.

The 7000 one will work it and I believe the 7002 and 7700 will as well.

Thanks Peter, might also have to upgrade my membership...tape deck is not working and looks like it may need some tinkering.  I am hoping the service manual is available...?

Hate to say it but no! I do have the 7000, 7002 and 7700 though! The 7000 needs putting on which I will do today (It is a bit big so will need splitting!) The tape deck will probably be belts - very common!

    Re: Beocenter 7007 remote

Unfortunately it may be more than belts.  The mechanism engages (and immediately disengages) but I cant hear the motors running...not sure tho, there is some noise but can't tell if its a motor...after an initial poke around i have also found a broken part from near the heads...no idea what it does but if i can get acess i can probably glue it back in.  May well need belts too.  From reading other posts it looks like Martin may be able to help with belts?  any advice about the easiest way to get into a 7007?
    Thanks.

Yep, belts are in stock. Mounting instructions can be included, they will also tell you how to get in there.

I may also be able to help you if the motor has died but check fuses first.

The little part you've found is for stabilizing the cassette tray, the Beocenter will probably work fine without it. Actually finding one with the part still in place is not very common.

I confirm that the terminal remote works well from the 7000 to the 7700 (I have the 7007/7700 ones). For the part broken remeber that it "contains" a little ball that could be found inside the Beo under the tapedeck (if it is not gone out). If you find it you can fix the part removing the left plastic on the opposite face of the tapedeck and locking it using a little bolt (if you are a maniac like me Embarrassed ).

    ciao ciao

    Re: Beocenter 7007 remote

Thanks for the advice...doesn't look like the broken part does all that much so I guess I'll start be replacing the belts.

    Cheers
