Most of you already know that I was rewarded for spending just £30 on gold membership with the first prize of a lovely white Beosystem 7000.
I decide that rather than have Lee post it to me, I would go down to Eastbourne to collect it and make a weekend of it.
Many of you will know that I also bought a TomTom the week before my journey, to help me find my way.
Just a few days before my trip I also bought a couple of items off eBay which needed picking up.

Well, on Saturday morning I set my alarm for six o'clock am and entered the details of the first pickup in Walton on Thames on my TomTom. I left the house at 7.30 and Ozzie Osbourne directed me down towards London
Fantastic thing this TomTom!  All I had to do was enter the postcose (Zip) and the house number then Ozzie took me right to the door of my first purchase.
£5.50 had secured me a Beocord Srereomaster 601T reel to reel tape recorder from about 1963!
What a nice chap, he said he was really pleased it was going to a good home. After I told him all about Beoworld and gave him the website address, I picked up the Stereomaster. Gosh! What a weight!
This is it on the back seat of my Corsa.

Well, I was absolutely dying for a wee but the TomTom said it would only take 25 minutes to get to my next pick up in Guildford so I decided to press on.
What the TomTom  didn't tell me is that there was an open air rock concert just on the outskirts of Guildford, millions of tents like Glastonbury!
I came off the sliproad and, wallop, the worlds biggest traffic jam. I wish I'd asked the Stereomaster man if I could have used his loo!
Anyway, twenty minutes later, I was on the move again in leafy Surrey. Ozzy directed me to this house. Beautiful, isn't it?

I had come here to pick up a Beomaster 4000 with ambio for £25.
I knew it's wooden lid was a mess but when he told me that a side panel was missing, I got him down to £15 and loaded it into the Corsa.

Sad to see one of my favourite BeoMasters in such a condition! Worth working on though, beautiful when it's in good condition.

The stereogram also looks quite interesting, I'd love to hear one...

Yes and strangely, when I lifted off the wooden lid this morning there was a brown envelope stuck to it with the circuit diagram in it! Looks like it had been there since the early seventies. I think it was common practice to leave these in the case in those days. 
 No bad smells in there and everything lights up so just the case and one slider to worry about hopefully.

Having previously spoke to Lee on the 'phone, we had agreed that I would meet him at Lifestyle and, at about 3.30 Ozzie announced "You have reached your...er.. f****ing destination. Ahh, there it is. Check the number plate.

That's my little purple car at the bottom of the hill. Guess this must be Lee's white Triumph Acclaim.

No way this is Lee’s car, he is far to reserved a chap to drive around in such an attention seeking vehicle.

They do say it's the quiet ones that are the worst..

Now, where was I?
Oh yes, I walked into the shop and it was like stepping into an eBay advert!
Lee hadn't arrived yet so his coleague, Mark showed me round and rang Lee to tell him I'd arrived.
Ten minutes later Lee arrived in his lovely BMW, it was so nice to see him again since we had befriended in Struer.
Wot's the model of the car again Lee?

The car -  it's a Skoda Octavia with a BMW 5-Series bodykit on.
