I was thinking that maybe one could take the brushed alu panel from a Beocenter 9000 and replace the glossy panel on a Beocenter 9500.
Are they the same size? Would it be possible? Has anyone done it?

The metallwork will  fit just fine.

The plastic underside to the CD lid will need to be transferred from the 9500 panel to the 9000 panel to retain activation of the clamping mechanism. It is held on with double sided tape so not too much of a problem.

Yes, I have done it but only as an exercise to see if it worked.
