Beolit 600 for spares/repair - free to good home

I have a Beolit 600 which works, but has a few small bits broken - we'd like to donate it for spares or repair to help keep these amazing radios going. Do you have a club spares store or someone who would make good use of it, or should I "sell" it in the sales biit?

    Thanks

Hi, Thats a lovely gesture!  Its best to go in the for sale section but your not a gold member, so I am sure the moderators will make a decision for you.  I would ask something for your radio even if its a packet of biscuits!!

    Cheers Nick

also where are you located?  Is the radio the slimmer 600 or the older wider version?

I am in OXfordshire - willing to post if someone pays postage.

    It's a slimmer version - 1974.

Volume and tone slider knobs missing, aerial missing, power input socket loose but works.

Light beige colour, serial no 240324.

We've used it to death really - a bit grubby - but in full use until now (with the aid of a knife to adjust the volume!).

    Yes, very nice of youSmile

I have a number of these in various states that need looking at. Unfortunately I have little time at the moment so would prefer someone else to benefit who would enjoy refurbishing it or is desperate for spares. If no one does take you up on this kind offer I would be happy to accept and will make a donation to the forum but I hope someone more deserving shouts!

I have a red 600 that is in need of various donor bits and pieces - would be happy to take it off your hands and pay for postage etc. if Stonk doesn't mind??

    Thanks :)

Perhaps if I do manage to take this I could pass it on to you when I have finished taking the parts for my 600? That would seem to make sense, assuming the bits I need are not the same as the bits you need!

That's great John. If you give me your address I will put it in the post. Once you've received it you can drop me a cheque for the postage.

I don't know if Caroline will visit the site again, but I'd just like to say a big thank you to her for letting me have the Beolit. It arrived this morning and the parts are now on my newly-functioning Beolit 600!

Now the remains head to Steve I think :)
