I have an option to buy a BC2500. Not expensive, but a problem is the tuner doesn't work right. Seller says the automatic search doesn't work OK.

Can't find anything on the forum on this. Checked out the service manual, it says that in case of tuner trouble they advise to replace the entire tuner board.

Are these tuners hard to fix? Probably all SMD components? I know how to fix stuff but never handled SMD before.

Anyone who has some experience with this?

Are you sure that it is not just faulty buttons on the front control panel?  My son's BC2300 had this (common) problem and we fitted a new contact pad avail from B&O at about £30 - a bit tricky to fit.

Of course if you can't search from a Beolink either then it's not not the buttons, and may be more complex.
