    Re: Beolab 12

Looks good but is that the price for a pair as the lab 8000's for example are shown as a pair price.

Lets hope as I keep being told they will be 3800 pounds sterling.

I was wondering the same, is the EUR 2000+ for BeoLab 12-3 per unit or pair? If it's per unit, what's the point, compared to a 8002?

Its the price per unit, not per pair!

The small note at the bottom

Alle Lautsprecherpreise sind Stückpreise ohne Kabelsatz

only says " Price per Unit without Cables" ...

According to who has seen and heard a pair of them in action, there is really nothing comparable on the market. And this is probably enough to justify the price... :)

Picture can be seen here of the new BeoLab 12 with BeoVision 10-46. I hope it's a bad picture because they look pretty ugly to me!!

To me they look like something another company would make trying to pretend to be stylish.

WT? My dealer was only telling me the other day how great they were and how they'd compliment the BV10-46 (I was intending to buy).

They look awful in that picture.

Maybe David Lewis' passing away is already starting to have an affect on future design (Beolit 12, Beolab 12 etc).

Wait until you see them in person. I immediately liked them. They have the same character as tall flat BeoLab 4000s. That dealer couldn't have taken a worse picture of them so I'm not surprised by the reactions. They also sound incredible for being so flat. I admit that I'm eagerly awaiting their release in black, though!

    Sometimes I don't understand B&OSad

The speakers were marketed and developped as home-cinema speakers that would blend & integrate better than the current range of BeoLabs with the current range of BeoVisions..and what similarity do you find between BV10 and these? None!

Why not reviving the Mondrian speakers that look 200% more adequate close to a flat screen?! Besides, why spending so much time trying to get impressive bass on wall speakers in a 5.1 setup, when you'll have a subwoofer to take care of that? Just bring us speakers that look good and go down to 100 Hz, we don't need more (or less, actually)Wink

Actually I'm quite interested in the Beolab 12 and I think they will look rather nice in real life.

I disagree with Chris about the sub. I want as little stuff in my house as possible and I rather see speakers with decent bass than adding another piece of equipment.

    Re: Beolab 12

    Hi there

that picture does not do them justice at all

they are absolutly stunning in real life and sound excellent.

The green LED looks a little plastic looking at the top but the actual speaker is more a peice of art in my opinion

the sound is excellent and if they were not near on 4k i would buy some for my music room but at that price they will sit in the wish list.

Suffice to say I'll just repeat my earlier thought... why not leak a proper picture or two, instead of letting these total wastes of pixel space ruin the expectations for everyone.

They do not seem to have the same height as the tv?!
