    Beolink distribution problem

I have had my house cabled in cat7, in my patch cabinet I have a masterlink distribution panel, b&o products connected to the cat7 by the b&o masterlink to cat7 cables and then patched with b&o patch cables in the cabinet to the masterlink distribution panel all work perfectly.

I also have a boelink passive and a beolink active, these are placed in the patch cabinet, these are directly connected to the masterlink distribution panel with b&o ml to cat7 cables, and neither device is working. If I take the masterlink to cat7 cable from either of these devices and plug it into a cat7 socket then pacth that to the masterlink distribution panel it works.

Does anyone know why the first method isnt working or if this methed is supported using a different cable.

    Regards

    peter

    Re: Beolink distribution problem

    One reason could be:
part of the installation might be according to standard 568A and an other part or
patch/adapter cables are wired according standard 568B.

Can easily be cecked using a simple "Ethernet Cable Tester" for approx 50 EUR
(your B&O dealer should also have one)

I dont think that is the problem, all the cabling is 586b. There is something wrong when the ml to cat7 is plugged directly into the masterlink distribution panel rather than via the patch cables.

    You're taking about  a "Master Link Patch Module for cabinet - 6xRJ45" (B&O# 8052351)
    not a "Connection Box 6xML sockerts" (B&O# 3634051) ?
