Is it for the BeoSound 5 or the BeoSound 5 Encore?

The OP already says "... module between the beomaster 5 and beosound 5"

    Re: ripping module

It is not for the BS5 Encore, only for the BS/BM5 and sticks to the base of BS5 as a second plate below the screen. The ripping process shall be automatic: just insert a CD and off you go.

Can the existing BS5 be used, or does it require a new version of the BS5?

    There is something about B&O.....

The "ripping" process itself is always easy. Its the finsing of proper (500x500) album art, and making qsure tagging is "correct" or to your liking, that makes the whole ripping process so tedious.

    Re: ripping module

Yes, it's the search for high res album art that is a long process.
So, if the ripping module doesn't search automaticaly on the net the good album art, we must power the laptop on and use BeoConnect or BeoPlayer.
    Sad...
