Does anyone know if Sony's tablet can handle B&O's IR frequency when in "Universal Remote" mode?
Generally speaking, you aren't learning much if your lips are moving.
Who cares You should be able to hold and operate a remote with one hand.
If you think nobody cares, try missing a couple of payments.

I still like the MCP concept. In these days of DLNA, Netradio, streaming music & films etc. it would be nice to control everything simply and graphically from one device. Being able to drag and drop music or video onto the device you wish to listen to or watch makes things as simple as can be, similarly searching or navigating content libraries to "drop" onto the hardware. The Sony obviously has wifi but also built in infrared and could do a decent job if the app was good enough. Of course a B&O version would be nice but there doesn't seem to be anything on the horizon.
Controlling all of the above from a Beo4, 5 or 6 is a bit like trying to play a piano through a letterbox.
I have wondered the same thing about the Sony. The dual screen folding tablet looks very interesting.

I see your point.
Both of Sony's new tablets look interesting. It was officially released here in the US yesterday and is already available to order. I will bet the remote software is not B&O compatible but who knows. However Beolink for Android can be installed.
