Beogram RX 5773 - What is the voltage output of the transformer?

There is a possible transformer available today on eBay, item number 280733946081.

Compare the picture with yours and this may be a suitable replacement for you .

If memory serves me the output is 18V DC.

Ron is correct - the transformer on ebay will work perfectly well with a RX, the 1800 is the same basic model.

Thanks for the quick responses.

I inherited this TT and it looks like a drink (probably a beer) was spilled on it.

I am looking for the voltage so that i can try it before spending money on it, if it works and the cartridge is good then i will definitely spend some dough on a beo transformer.

I doubt that it is DC output as i see a diode rectifier on the board.

We don't apparently have the RX service manual on site, but both BG1800 (the predecessor) and RX2 (the successor) show a 12V regulator (7812) after the transformer and the rectifier. So a 18V transformer secondary sounds about right. After the rectification, the 7812 needs at least 3-4 volts headroom to do its job and produce a steady 12 V output.

If you replace the transformer, don't forget to check the mains voltage setting too.
