    Re: Your latest purchase?

    TerryM:

After a very long time of the head ruling the heart, with a further recent demo, the heart won,and I have ordered a BV7-55,BL7-4,and a pair of BL3s.

You won't regret the BV7-55, I have just bought mine and used it extensively over the Christmas holiday.  With the right source, the picture is truely fantastic and the surround sound is great.  However, I don't think that I will be using the 3D option very much....The old BV7-40 looks very small now and has been relegated to the bedroom.

I got a Beo6 with it and this was set up nicely by my local dealer.  It is a pleasure to use but I have had to make some rubber mats to park it on because the risk of it falling or being knocked off of the side tables is too high.  The Beo6 does everything I want it to and the complete system links seamlessly to the Topfield 2400 PVR which we have.

To complete my Christmas spending I have also bought the Beosound 5 encore.  This has finally tidied up all of my computer music and it now gives me a delightful and easy source to work with.  Even my wife is happy to use all of this equipment and she is now regularly using our computerised music supply.  It was just too hard to access in the past.

That's the lot for now, no more B&O spending this year, budget well and truely blown.

    Regards

    Geoff

Just ordered a BV 10-46, a pair of 8002s (both new), a BL2 and a pair of 6000s (both pre-owned).  I nearly bought a BV 10-32, BS5 and a BS8 but managed to escape the shop with only £10K damage to my credit card!

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

    Re: Your latest purchase?

Bought a Beosystem 2300 with Beolab 4500's (And a Beo4, cables, wall brackets etc.) yesterday. Smile

The items have really been cared for by the previous owner, and they are in mint condition. I even got most of the original documentation (if not all) from 1995 where he bought it. The 2300 is already hanging on the wall and playing, but it has some problems with playing CD's, and it needs to be cleaned, so I will give it a bit of TLC sometime. One of the 4500's needs a new woofer, but I have one lying around, so when it is changed I'm going to replace my Beolab 3000's with the 4500's.

I hope you all are enjoying your purchases. Smile

Just bought a pair of white BeoLab 3's and a white BeoLab 11 from my local dealer. I went from BeoLab 2 and a pair of BeoLab 4000's. I thought the Lab 2 was too "roaring" and the Lab 4000's were a bit anonymous as front speakers. I am very, very pleased with this new set-up! Crystal clear sound and perfect, tight bass. I will post pictures in the "Flash your B&O" topic soon :)

    Re: Your latest purchase?

I used my $100 gift card to help finance a beo6 for two way control of my BS5.  Outstanding!

Don't remember if I already posted this and I'm too lazy to search, but over the summer I bought a pair of BS1s.  Love 'em.  Not sure why many people do not.  Then again, I got them for a very good price so maybe that factors into my thinking vs. others...
