    strange round IR eye

    Hello everybody

I bought two round IR eyes on the bay and One of them is a particular model.

The second is like the one we use with beolink passiv (5 connectors on the back and buttons on the front).

The other has the same buttons but the card inside is different.

There are 6 connectors (white instead of green).

This is not a IR eye for beosystem because they don't have buttons.

THis is not a IR eye for a charger of a beolink 7000 because the buttons are different.

It looks like it's another model.

Do you know this model and the way to wire it ?

    Thanks for your help.

    Best regards

    OLivier

Sound like an IR eye with autocontrast.  Used on a BeoSystem with drop down screen, a BV7 with projector where the screen blocks the IR, or an early BV4 without the zit on the top.

For a very short time, there were round MCL eyes which look very similar to those used for ML. Similar to the BL 7000 charger but no charging connections. Rare to find. I think they are very nice!

    Thanks Peter for your reply

I have read this kind of information by googling, but I don't know how to use it in a MCL system and how to wire it.

Its face is like a normal one, buttons mute on top and play.

It's useless for me at this time.I just need an IR eye for a beolink passiv.

    Any more information/datasheet welcome ;)

I asked to someone who owns a IR eye for a beovision and he tolds me that there is no buttons on it.It is just a receiver.

So, I just have to discover if the MCL round IR eye has buttons and how to wire it.

    The story goes on ...

    Thanks for your answer.

On my system, I cannot browse my directory if I use your link.I use linux mint and Firefox

The seller of this IR eye, just told me that it is for a beolink activ.

Are they different compared to those for beolink passiv ?.
