Hi,

my new bought 2nd hand Ouverture have problems with its sliding mechanism - sometimes the doors closes not completely, the gap between differs between 2 - 60 milimeter when 2 mm are fine and normal. I cleaned up the running rails already but I assume, it might be a problem with the rubber band - as the prev. owner were heavy smokers :( and I already spent hours to clean this piece of 90´s - original, it has some further issuers I resolved already (described in the german board).

Does anybody have a guidance for me, how to replace the rubber band ?

The teardown of the mechanic is the one I need help for, the rest is easy for me now ;-)

Hi Tom, more likely that the cable has stretched over time. Common on older overtures and can be tightened. Think it tells you how to in the service manual.
