    IR Receiver?

    Hi

I connected my BV4-50 with a Onkyo NR-TX1008. The Onkyo is hidden in a cabinet. Unfortunately I canot control the Onkyo through the cabinet with my Beo6 IR, so I have now a Logitech Harmony 900. To be honest the Beo6 looks much better and I would like to use it. So my question: is there something like a IR receiver? I would like to set up the IR receiver next to the cabinet and put the other end into the cabinet. So that I can control my Onkyo without opening the cabinet.

    Thank you in advance

If your third party STB is hidden in a cabinet, then your best option would be a Lintronics box.

I have used these in the past. Just sold a pair on ebay last month.

    Powermid

    Or maybe the newer version

    PowermidXS

There are better, more complicated/expensive/B&O compatible versions out there. The issue is these are not "B&O compatible" but as you are using a Beo6 you would most likely be using Onkyo codes via Beo6 and not B&O codes so I'd think it would work.

Since you are operating within a cabinet, you probably also have room to use a wired IR repeater.

Niles has a ton of IR integration products.
