Will these new TVs have a Beonet connector?  Will there be an option for an in-built 3D Blu-ray player for the Beovision 7-55 MK2 3D?

    Thanks,

    1) It's still based on a modified Beosytem 3 - no

    2) yes

    no bv7 40 3d ??

3D on any TV that small isn't worth it; you simply don't get the benefit of 3D

As long as I need to wear strange googles for 3d I do not see any benefit. This is simply not consumer friendly.

I think the original poster may have made a typo ...

Also 10-40 or 10-46 MKII have already been out for almost a year.

    Hi,

Did you have any infos about hard drive for Beovision 7? that will be a nice upgrade in order to record TV, as seen in Loewe TV for example.

    cheers,

Great with some news, but does no one have any more details, i.e. will the 7-40 be LED based now?
Will the modified BS3 be able to decode HD audio, and much more....
I did also hope for a 10-55 and a cheap entry TV, just a wish.

    There is something about B&O.....

Going to be interesting to see what BR player they have put into BV7 now, I hope for B&O that it can decode HD Audio (DTS MA) and send the decoded signal to BS3.
And also how slow and noisy it is Wink

Re: Beovision 7 Series (32" and 55") Discontinued

Will this also take effect in the North American market? I've seen nothing about this mentioned on the B&O website for North America. I was just getting ready to purchase a BV7-55. Looks like I better hold off and wait for the 3-D version!

Some quick from my dealer, beside the 3D and HDMI 1.4, the 7-55 will also get a new panel, going from 32 to 64 backlight zones, and a lot more diodes. No comment about DTS-MA, therefore this is probably a "no".
And a price increase for 7-55 by the way.

4-50 and 4-65 will be discontinued however.

The 7-40 Mk 6 will NOT get a new panel, can't believe it because of the old fashioned panel of the Mk 5??

    beolion:
... going from 32 to 64 backlight zones, and a lot more diodes...

the BV7/55 in it's MK1 version already has 8*12 = 96 backlight zones with 10 LEDs each segment
the MK2 version is going to have 16*32 =  512 zones with 6 LEDs per segment >> 3012 LEDs.
(more than 5 times as much zones as the current version and amount of the LEDs more than tripled)

Thank for the clarification, much more detailed than my dealer told me. But it is quite a lot of extra zones and LED's added, that must require some additional "performance" within the BS3, I guess this is controlled in the BS3 also?

Could be interesting - if it was possible - to compare the 2 screens. My dealer is working on selling the Demo models right now.

I don't understand it either, it must be difficult for a dealer to sell the 7-40.

Is led backlighting really that much better than ccl ?

I saw a 7 40 & the 10 46 and thought the 7 had a much more natural looking picture , the 10 while very bright and sharp looked a bit too technicolor for my tastes

Re: Beovision 7 Series (32" and 55") Discontinued

I might be biased, as I moved from 7-40 to 7-55, and every time when I look at the 7-40 in a bit darker room and especially with darker scenes, then I notice a big difference between the 7-40 and 7-55. I have not compared the 7-40 with the 10-40 though.

The only time I notice the backlight zones is if I look at the TV from the side (which we by the way never do) and if I have i.e. bright white small areas with black background like a flash light in the dark (which is very soldom). Therefore, going from 96 til 512 zones must really do a difference in these cases.
It cant get much more perfect.
