    Roger:
The BV11 vs BV10? It is different, perhaps more outstanding in more ways than one.

    hmmm "outstanding"

I wonder if that is a clue as to its mounting, shape, size, position . . . . . .

Is this the long await BeoVision Cube ?

    The BeoVision Wall ?

    BeoCeiling ?

    BeoFloor ?

More seriously, what do you think of this: South Korea's House of The Future

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

If the BV10-55 should be available soon when can we expect the BV11?

Better sound? Might mean bigger speakers requiring more depth.

It's up to you guys to generate the debate. I'm back on the B&O purchasing bandwagon, but frankly have very little to say. Perhaps one problem is that it's far easier to find information for questions, more swiftly? I had a couple of questions on the Beosound 8 recently and, rather than asking here, a couple of Google searches gave me the answers.

Maybe B&O technology (and company) is more "stable" in recent months, which has reduced many of the negative, primarily software, debates? They've dropped right off, I've noticed. Without those, the forum looks boring :)

    Kokomo:

People in Australia are devoting rooms to 'home cinema', even constructing special rooms in their McMansions

Really? This may come as a surprise to you Jonathan but those who can afford such things have been installing them in their homes since the beginning of the 20th century!

Hollywood stars of the silent movies had cinema rooms built into their homes and it didn't take long for the wealthy to follow.

Sorry, I should have been more precise. I wasn't talking about wealthy people, I meant the average 'Joe' out there...

People in suburban Australia, on the outer fringes of the large cities, are building large awful homes on large estates. These are known as 'McMansions'. These houses all look the same, are built cheaply and are relatively inexpensive to buy. These houses generally have features such as 4-5 bedrooms, home theatres, studies, 3 bathrooms, outdoor fireplaces, etc etc and no garden or trees as landscaping is never included in the price. They are built as close as possible to the one next door People buy these houses and fill them with everything they cannot afford and then complain they can't afford a rate rise on their mortgage. They then have to sell these houses..

Australians are becoming a nation of the 'have to haves' meaning they want everything now whether or not they need it or can afford it.

Generally they have a mortgage on a home, loans for at least two vehicles and high credit card debt. We had a national 'baby bonus' scheme, where the governmet provided $3000 to the parents of a newborn baby to increase our population. This became known as the 'Plasma Bonus', as sales of Plasma TVs skyrocketed as soon as the government started making these payments. Teens were having babies just to get the free $3000!!

B&O's release of this new 3D TV reeks of this mentality, and I really don't think it's justified.

(btw google 'bogan' and 'McMansion' for a more detailed explanation)

I had a 5-minute demo of this whilst in the factory last week - and i can say it was pretty impressive.

The clarity of the image is breathtaking, really.  The glasses were a bit, err..  well, let's just say there were 2 of us sat side by side watching - and we looked like 'The Proclaimers' having a night in together..

I had never heard of them, so to save others similarly challenged from the trouble of googling, I chose the picture that most closely resembled my mental image:

Yes, but i've managed to retain bladder control at least twice this year whilst doing that..  Impressive.

Anyway - welcome to BeoWorld, where eminently sensible threads can be hijacked and ruined in the space of minutes. *cough*
