Re: Beolit 600 Radio - How much?

    Which model Beolit 600?

    1964 one - probably between £50 £ £100

    1970 one - probably between £75 & £125

I'm using eBay as a guide here & prices depend on several factors - condition, willingness of the seller to post & quality of the listing.

Like all ebay sales though, there are bargains to be had if you search hard enough.

    Chris.

Well, I bought one from eBay and it arrived damaged. Does anyone know of something that stocks parts for these items? I think its a 1965 version.

    Hi Chris.

I just won a curry Beolit 600 for 42 euro. It has a boken antenna but looks in good condition otherwise. I bought it for the curry panels and for spares because my black Beolit 600 has a slightly damaged bottom plate (broken plastic foot). Maybe I will try to restore both units if I can find a spare antenna. Are these available?

Yes, it's the 1970's model. It seems the frame is actually curry-coloured. I'll give a report when I have received it from the seller and have assessed the exact condition. Thanks in advance for your offer.

Re: Beolit 600 Radio - How much?

Now I have received the curry radio and done some cleaning. The only really broken parts are the antenna and one of the supports for the ferrite bar. The bottom plate is OK but the retaining pegs for it are missing.
On my black radio the plastic foot in one end is damaged. This is riveted to the bottom plate so maybe the entire bottom plate needs replacing. One of the pegs for the bottom plate is missing too.

My original idea was to make one perfect radio out of the two but if the broken and missing parts can be replaced, both radios could be restored. Here are some pictures of the pair (the curry radio partly disassembled):

    Chris:

I'm pretty sure these panel inserts can be removed & exchanged - the problem will be finding one if yours cannot be repaired.

As you can imagine parts for these have been unavailable for quite some time now.

Just fyi (if you didn't know already): the (telescopic FM-) antenna on your black one isn't the original one, at least not the top end...

Yeah, I suspected that. I have seen the ad from the guy who sells new ones. I'll probably order one from him. But I also need a complete antenna for the curry radio.
