    Active speakers and Beomaster 4500

    Hi Forum

    Will my old Beomaster 4500 be able to use newer speakers like Beolab 4 and Beolab 3500?

    Yes there should be no problem in using it.

    There are two pl outputs on the BM4500.

    One issue though, should be the type of pl cable to use but I'm not sure about this

    Best regards

    I think fully wired MK2 would be the best bet?

    pl = Powerlink

    Depends on the speakers rather than the 4500 as to which cable you will need. They will all work though.Speakers with ICE amplifiers need cables with more screening.

    Re: Active speakers and Beomaster 4500

    Well, technically, MK3 if you want BeoLab 4.

    I'm sure MK3 is backwards compatible, so go with that one.

    As far as active (BeoLab) speakers, any are approprite. Whatever is best for your space and for you. The usual suspect around here is the BeoLab 3000. But those can be a bit large still and limited to wall placement. A LOT of people like the 4000 which is quite compact. There are a bunch of options...
