Went out to lunch with a guy today. He recently moved to a new palatial pad that has non b&o music plumbed in throughout. I asked him what he did with his Beocenter 2 he used to have in his kitchen.
"Oh the DVD played up so I put it in the bin"
I didn't have the heart to ask what happened to the two small beolabs sitting either side! I have a feeling the whole lot went

I know of another BeoWorld Member who stopped someone at a local tip and asked 'errr, mate, what are you doing with that?' - upon which was the reply of something like 'I can't get it to turn on, you can have it if you want it - it was part of a house clearance"..
The BeoSound 9000 6-CD Changer, after a quick clean, worked perfectly.

I remember that!
I'm sure it's been done before but what other crimes or finds have others come across?

Picked this up about a month ago from a customer who had it stored in a shed. The Beogram and Beomaster plus the MCP 5000 are all working and in use now. the Beogram even has a decent MMC5 on it.
The tape deck just needs a new set of belts. Didnt pay a dime for it.

HE MUST HAVE BEEN IMPAIRED WITH A FEW OF HIS SENSES
BC2 is heavy, shiny and beautiful, what insane person would think, "oh, chuck it in the bin"?
People are amazing there's no denying this! We are more like animals than we realise sometimes...

And mamerls are what, Funghi?
Well some are just parasytes and others are just plain insects. You have also the "chauvenist pig", the "black sheep", the "white fly", the "stupid cow", the "beautiful as a swan", the "graceful as a gazele", the "tall as a giraffe", "blind as a bat", "fat as a whale", "lazy as a panda", "loyal as a dog", etc.

This happens all the time alas.
Years ago my grandfather threw out all his old camera equipment as he'd recently gotten a new video camcorder. Thousands of pounds of Leica and Bolex equipment are now sitting in a landfill somewhere in Scotland
