AT LAST... Cheap ICEpower for the masses!

The Chinese brand Murano  is a new brand and they are now selling Bang & Olufsen ICEpower amplifiers with very fair and cheap  prices and. Therefore  will the danish AR (Acoustic Reality)  olso sell ICEpower cheap from today.

I hope and think  that these prices  on ICEpower  will be stabile , becouse there now at the first time  are a europe (danish) reseller of Muranos ICEpower products ?.  Murano product are realy High End. ( look for your self on the Murano website)

The High-End brand Jeff Rowland are still taken 7000 US dollar for 1 X 1000 watt ICEpower amplifier (!), so maybee the american olso should  beginning to change there prices, iff they still wont to sell B&O ICEpower amplifiers.

Notice. The main  differens are only the cabinet... Inside them all; Murano, Rotel, Jeff Rowland, AR ,etc  they are all use the pure High-End B&O ICEpower modules, ready for use and plug and play..

From today there are new and cheap prices  on ICEpower from and Acoustic Reality

eAR® 202-REF stereo amplifier may be today’s best buy in high-end audio. Few amps can equal its combination of accuracy and musicality, and no amp can beat it when it comes to offering topnotch sound quality at a budget price.

    1 X 1000 WATT RMS @4 ohm. Price 840 Euro,  1123 US dollar or 567 pound (x2)

eAR 1001-REF is an improved version of the most sold amplifier in the history of Acoustic Reality. It is a truly reference quality mono-block power amplifier, which represent the state-of-the-art in amplifier design and in ultra-accurate musical reproduction.

And no,- its not difficult. Its  very easy to connect, as you can see, and everything will works as normal!  But the sound.. WOW .Yes

Re: AT LAST... Cheap ICEpower for the masses!

Today I have  2 X 1000 watt to front Penta,   2 X 500 Watt to rear Penta, 500 watt to subwoofer,  and 120 watt to center.  Except the center speaker (Avant TV), they  all are driven by ICEpower amplifiers. And I promises you. You can hear it!

Picture of  my newest amplifier  2 X 1000 watt B&O  ICEpower (1000ASP) used for the front speakers (still Penta)

Notice mine  BeoLab 2500 that I use as PC speakers!.  I have  change the the old tveeters to moderne speakers from Logitech and they sound great as PC speaker (with the Logitech subwoofer offcourse)

From today is ICEpower a very cheap and absolutely perfect solution for getting some of the best sound you can think (real High-End) and its still B&O! Big Smile Go for it!

Sounds great. I think Icepower will push best sound for price limit. I have no idea why people say ICEpower sounds cold. In fact, it should sound warmer than most amplifiers since the frequency response isn't the best in the upper registers but something tells me that it will no longer be a problem after a few years.

Re: AT LAST... Cheap ICE power for the masses

ICEpower from B&O dosent sound "cold"- not at all.

They sound warm and  musical just like the best class A amplifieres and all kind of music sound great, not only one or two records...

But you have right.-  there are some class D amplifiers from others brands that sound strange.

But not B&O! They have make the perfect amplifier and the rewievs of them are all agree.

NOTE  Remember that you first will get the  the full sound after a period of one month. Icepower need some time to get warming up/open up.

Tjeck olso the phase in the power plug, and choose which way that sound best. With ICEpower it is easy to hear the difference in that kind of detail. Speakercable and signal cable sound olso different, but it proberly  the first time you can hear it!

    ICEpower review from http://www.6moons.com/audioreviews/jjaz/jjaz.html

I have heard BeoLab 5 many time and olso BeoLab 9 in the shops  but they  was all new, and therefore was the sound not yet optimal.

Using ICEpower amplifiers is a better and (much cheaper) solution  then buying new active (expensive) loudspeakers. And then you olso can choose (passive) high-End speakers from others brand,- if you like.

I have choose Penta  speaker becouse I think/mean they sound better then B&O new speakers as Beolab 5 and 9. (!)

I can say that the Penta itself have newer been the problem,- its have allways  been the  very old amplifier in the buttom that couldent delevery detail and power at all , and therefore compariede to others brand was it a bad speakers with a terrible sound. Yes,- I realy mean terrible sound.

With ICEpower this have change,-. Penta are now a real High End speaker, and I will not change them at all.

With the ICEpower  amplifiers you get room and space , (just like surround) you get so many micro detail that you never have heard before and the bas is awesome and explosive. Penta are getting  alive again thanks to ICEpower. Enjoy the club

Re: AT LAST... Cheap ICE power for the public

Not sure if it's due to the ICE Power amps, although you suggest it, but the ICE Power BeoLabs definitely need run in time. BeoLab 5s sound very 'tubby' when you first hear them, and BeoLab 9s sound big and wallowy, far too much hi-end. BeoLab 3s sound very clinical. They all seem to settle down over time though...

Re: AT LAST... Cheap ICE power for the masses

You are rigth about the sound from the new BeoLab speakers. But give them some time as you say, and they will sound great.

Its normal for all brandnew new speakers that they have to work for a  period before they play well, but notice that with ICEpower amplifier is the same olso nessesary. Therefore is the first impression in the shop proberly not the best... But after some short  time at home  they will give you full  value for your money.

    Icepower modules from B&O.

Maybe the electrons are sort of learning their way around the circuit.

Perhaps every set of speakers should be supplied with their own map......bit like the London Underground Map with the cicuit all picked out in different colours......would save the little blighters getting lost for the first month or so!!Laughing

Re: AT LAST... Cheap ICE power for the public

Before ICEpower i was saying the same..It must bee woodo or something like that. No need to think about the electronic, cable and so on. Just plug and play .But studys shows that specialy the condenstor, that are a active component, ned time to "relax"

    You have to understand something.

This is pure High End and I promice that you can hear all the small difference in the sound.  Prove ? My wife can without problem hear all the differens I am talking about. And I dont say anything to her about the difference, but she describe the same as I do! Wink

Pure high End ICEpower.(Bertram Beast 1000ASP)  Notice the power plug called FuruTech Fi-25 Rhodium, and yes,- there are difference.

I doubt that Kharma is using ICE. Take a look at the description of thier amplifiers. It is a wide-bandwidth design and has a totally different feedback method employed. I think Bulgarien was just listing the audiophile companies who uses digital amplifiers becasue many of them aren't using ICE.

Re: AT LAST... Cheap ICEpower for the public

You are offcourse right about the list above, and it shows which type of Classe D amplifier they are use and as yiu can see not all are ICEpower, but it also shows types as Tripath or DIY zappulse. I have taken the info from a danish site, but I have now found  the original site where the list are taken. The text are corrected.

ICEpower’s present market position is in demanding professional, consumer and car audio, where ICEpower technology is used by more than 40 companies in 200 different products.

Presently, we are approaching 500.000 high power channels sold. From this platform and unique position in the most demanding audio applications, ICEpower is now expanding to volume market segments.
