The Beovision 6-26 has only enough pixels to display 720p. Have you got the MK1 or MK2 variant (have you got composite inputs)?

    BV6-26 MK I Type 925x and MK II Type 9270-9275 = Panel (native) resolution = 1280 x 768 pixels
    BV6-26 MK IV Type 929x = Panel (native) resolution = 1366 x 768 , TV already beeing "HD-Ready"

    -----------------------

You'll need a "HD-Ready Kit and SW Updates" for BV 6-26 MK I or MK II
to display HD signals coming from video sources like DVDs, STBs,... connected either by:

    YPbPr - 1080@60i 1080i (1125i) (source resolution 1920 x 1080)
    or
    HDMI - 1080@60i 1080i (source resolution 1920 x 1080)

Mounting a "HD-Ready Kit and SW Update" will need a qualified B&O technician ...

    -------------------------

    DVI-I Input (using BV 6-26 as a computer-monitor)

    no "HD-Ready Kit" is required.

Using the appropriate type of cable (DVI<>DVI OR DVI<>VGA),
connect one end to the DVI !!OR!! VGA output socket on your computer,
and the other end to the DVI socket on the television.

To hear sound from the computer in the television speakers,
use the appropriate cable and connect the sound output on
the computer to the L – R sockets on the television.

DVI connection for receiving digital OR analogue
    graphics from an external PC.

    Supports the following resolutions:
    60 Hz;
    640 × 480,
    800 × 600,
    848 × 480,
    1024 × 576,
    1024 × 768,
    1280 × 720.

IMPORTANT! If you wish to connect a computer to the television
and use the television as a monitor, make sure that the television,
the computer, and all equipment connected to the computer are all
disconnected from the mains before you connect the computer and the
    television to each other.

In addition, the computer must be connected to a grounded wall outlet
as specified in the computer’s setting-up instructions!

Re: how can i display 1080i on beovision 6 26?

    thanks for the tip.

i can use it as a computer monitor but i can't display 720P HD on it with DVI.

i was told that i can update the software and that there a USB on the back right of the BV6-26.

i can't seem to find it.

has anyone tryed to update there BV6-26?

all im trying to do is plug my PS3 into it with a 720p HD

why is it soooo f-ing hard!

has there been anyone here who has pluged there PS3 onto BV6-26

It's hard because it's not built as a native HD-ready TV.  It was designed to have analogue inputs, and anything else was tacked on later.

You'll need the HD hardware and software upgrades mentioned above, else it's just a PC monitor.  And you won't get a PS3 to work on most PC monitors due to HDCP issues.

The USB software updates will likely be for the DVB modules only.
