It was sent from my iPhone via the beoworld app... hmmmmm

But:

I´m a little disappointet..... We don´t need a B&O iPod speaker... there is plenty of that....  fx... "Zeppelin","Bose" ect....

In my opinion we need a simple iPod dock, that integrates with a masterlink/Beonet cable, controlled via Beo4/5/6

But with that said, i must point, that i´ll be one of the first to be at the release....

Always great with new products from my favorit brand.

Why a dock when Apple has announced AirPlay? :)

BTW, when will the Beo6 come out ? I heard the Beo5 will be dicontinued at the beginning of the next year 2011.

What are the differences between the Beo5 and Beo6 (bigger tactil screen, more functionnalities, etc..)?

These are pics coming from the patent office in Denmark, filed by b&o.

They've been confirmed by some dealers on the forum as being the real thing.

Said to be really nice in reality.

Will come with an App you install on the iOS device to control everything the B&O way.

I saw a pic of the "real thing" (ie BS8 in white) last week, and the middle is a little different from those sketches.

More elegant with a little aluminium plate between the speakers that also look bigger.

Just wait and see !

I hear the price point is $999 for the US. Is it just a pair of BeoLab 4 PC's with an ipod dock between the two?

according to b&o uk the bs8 is now being released on the 22nd november.

it has to be something new. Why should they make this story for a product that is already released? Guess they bring the BS8 right ahead of the christmas sales season. Wise timing for this kind of product.

S11, like all dealers has just been informed that we won't now be getting our sample on 11/11 - now 22/11...but you are welcome to come and witness yourself on 22nd.

You are also welcome to attend our Pre VAT increase weekend on 27/28 November for some nice offers!

I'd be interested to take a look - might call in if I'm down Ecclesall Road way. More interested in older products myself, but I hope this serves as a successful introduction to the brand for the non-initiated (as I'm sure B&O hope it will too).

The price will always be an issue with those that don't understand the brand, but it will be the best opportunity yet to introduce new and younger customers to Bang & Olufsen.

Pop in anytime you are passing, here at Sheffield we are equally passionate about the older products as well as the new, having been with the brand since the early eighties!

Next time I venture down from the hills of S10, and when we're the other side of 22/11/10, I'll call in :)

Hello Sheffield and All!

I'm so excited about the BeoSound 8. Since I discovered iTunes and iPods, the way that I listen to music now has completely changed and indeed for the better. I know that my beloved but now little used BeoSound Century will shed a few tears in a few weeks time. This time 11 years I was ordering a Century - this really is a great successor to it!!!

You'll enjoy it, and at £950, it's £300 less than BeoSound 1...

But the Century was a great little system in its own right - I had one hanging on my dining room wall for years!
