How do I get one of these???

I got inspired to post from another posting in the ebay section...

What is the one B&O item you don't have, but really wished you had?

Be it because you can't afford it yet, can't find one or your partner won't let you!!

It'd be very interesting to hear what sort of things fellow Beoworlders wished they had!

    Over to you:

Uh, well.. for starters - the BeoLab 5. Laughing

And a motorized BeoVision. Well for that matter, any BeoVision!

My only limitation is financial, otherwise I would be cramped with B&O!

In my case it seems that any new product launched is a source for desire. From the already launched or about to launch it woud be:

    Beo6 (limitation: not available yet)

Beosound 5 encore (limitation: not availabe yet, not sure if it will be what I am looking for)

Beolab 11 (limitation: I live in a condo the limitation are my neighboorsLaughing)

beolab 4000 (no limitation, my next adquisition)

beocenter 2 (limitation: no hdmi, no blu-ray, otherwise I will buy it yesterday)

beosound 9000 (Beautiful, iconic, timeless design - limitation: technology is about to phase out)

beosound 8 (limitation: not available yet, not sure about this one)

Right now? The 7PIN Datalink cable I have spent the last hour looking for! Super Angry

Other than that, I'd love to have a BM800. I think it may be the most beautiful of all-time!

White Beogram 7000 turntable as I missed the one at AV Lifestyle last week!

Beomaster 8000 to complete the system.

Beolit 39 as it's so rare and the most beautiful radio ever made.

Beogram 3000 (Thorens) to finish off my Beosystem 5000 restoration.

    Nothing much then!.

    Dave.

Am I ready? I was born ready!

    Beolab 5000!

    Hard to find.

AV9000, complete with a surround setup in a spare room.

Just found an AV9000, at the dealer where I bought my Beovision 10, but the mechanical curtains don't work...

Re: How do I get one of these???

Motorized beovisions (LX range) go for next to nothing when faulty, I paid £5! No remote though.. About £4 to fix in components.

Same limitaion as you mate so for now it would have to be a little more realistic than a Beolab 5 hehe. For me a Beomaster 6000 with Beogram 6000 and a couple of quad disks all complete and mint would be VERY nice. Speaker wise 4 P-45's would be nice to go with this. All White a major bonus but I might as well start dreaming about something else :)

Beomaster 8000 with Beogram 800x would be more than satisfactory to match my S120's. Always lusted for MS150's but realistically they are far too big I think.

Next some Lab Pentas or lab 5000's connected to a Besystem 7000 would be cool.

I would also like a Beolink 5000 and a Beogram 9500 (or any with silver stripe and slope) for my mum who has a Beocentre 9500.

Re: How do I get one of these???

My BeoSystem6500 complete with MCP6500. I sold it when I bought my BeoSound3000. I have no complaints about the current system but I just miss the old one.

Oh and many many years ago I had the opportunity to acquire a mint condition B&O liveried Matchbox (may have been Corgi?) model delivery van complete in its presentation box. Now I rue the day for not getting :-(

    How sad am I?

I would love a nice valve set. Something like the ones in Martins restoration threads. I dont know why but they look so nice and I bet the cricket would sound great on one. That and a 103 inch Beovision, 4 BL5's and a house big enough to put it in.

I wouldnt mind an Aston Martin with the B&O stereo either.

    White BG5500............... :-(

A couple of knobs for my TR26.

Beolab and Beomaster 5000's to go with my BV5000. (Thanks beaker)

    BL5000's in Blue.

    A decent Beosystem 10.

    Any white remote controls.

    And loads of others!!

BS9000, can't justify the cost, but the design melts me, and seeing it operate in person is always special....

Well the other problem with beovisions for me in my area is that there are none! Only astronomically priced Avants...

At the moment I'm only longing for the caps, lamps and belt I ordered from Martin, he shipped 2 weeks ago, but Mexpost is slow and/or not working at all. When I finish repairs on BM 2400. BM 901, BG 5000, BG 2404 and S 45s, I will start looking for more.

I check Ebay nearly every day and there are good deals out there. Dreaming, dreaming.

Beosound 3000, BL 4000, BL 8000, BG 2404,BG 5000, BG CD50, Beocord 5000, BM 901, BM 2400, BM 4000, BV S45, BV 3702. There is nothing we cannot do, but a lot of things we don't want to do!!

    - A Beogram 7000 turntable with MMC2 system in a as good as new condition in classic black/alu (not all black/not white) for a reasonable price .. searching for almost 8 months now.... there was one as new on ebay, missed it as my flight back from my holidays was delayed.... if you have one for sale, feel free to offer :-)

    - Another pair of Beolab 5s for the rear, but my appartment just lacks the space, if we move to a bigger house, this will be my first buy.

    Best regards

This was my wish list too until early this year when I got both! White BM2000 was found on a Danish small ads website. Martin [Dillen] did a refurb & recap for me. The quality is amazing playing though S45's.

What do I still want? I want superb design, with internal modules that can be exchanged when the technology moves on. If B&O could produce stand-alone modules that would enable old FM tuners to play NRadio and DAB when FM is phased out they would find a ready market with B&O enthusiasts and newcomers to the brand using older equipment. A very simple B&O branded iPod dock would also sell. The reality is that most of us will use other brand accessories to keep our old B&O alive.

Oh, and a BV10 with BV5 sound. The current model seems to need much better sound to justify the price premium over the competition. Bose have just gone in the opposite direction with a 150mm thick TV that fires the sound out very directionally from the sides to create a surround sound from reflections off other walls.
