Hey everyone,
I was just wondering if anyone here has (or has ever seen/used) one of the old B&O record changers, such as the "S 507 LP", which is pictured in some of the B&O classic product posters and is even listed here on BeoWorld? Does anyone know anything about it, or any of the other older changers? While I thoroughly enjoy using my modern B&O (ranging from the 70's through current), I also love to look at and learn about a lot of vintage products as well. I've enjoyed following the "restoration" threads on here, but have never seen one for one of the older turntables.
I don't think I would ever put one of my "good" records on any changer, but I guess their mechanical design and mechanisms have always intrigued me! Some of the early changers from many makes were quite ingenious. I found a swedish record changer sight recently (http://hem.passagen.se/sodas/vxarteng.htm), and noticed a picture of an old Philips changer. It looks very similar to the picture of the B&O "S 507 LP" changer, and I wondered if they were the same, or related?
Thanks, and hope everyone is enjoying their equipment, both old and new!
Tommy
