    Beosystem 1 EU

Hi, does anybody know what TV screens that can be used together with a Beosystem 1 EU?

The specification says RGBHV 575p 50 Hz, but most screens will only take 60Hz on the PC-input (D-sub)!?

Is there any settings on the Beosystem 1 that will make it work together with “normal” screens that only takes 60Hz?

Is there any converter/scaler available for a decent price?

I plan to use the Beosystem 1 to get surround sound + using the RGBHV out for SD channels, while when watching HD channels I will use a HDMI cable directly from the STB to the screen. Of course it’s possible to always use the HDMI, but it would be good to be able to use the menus etc from the Beosystem 1 (therefor the need for RGBHV out).

    Regards/lano

Thanks for the answer! Maby I'm not looking for right information, but when reading the specs of the european TH-42PF20 (see link below) I don't see that it can recieve 50Hz signals?

Hmm, is it the section called RGB/Component that I should look for? There it says 625(575)/50p?

Thanks, now I know what to look for!

Do you use the D-sub (PC-input) connection?

Yes, only connection I use for SD SAT reciever (via Scart to Beosystem 2).

Beosystem 2 via VGA cable to the VGA (PC in) port of the display.

You could connect a HD player etc. directly to the Plasma and use a IR cable to control the player and tell the plasma to switch to DVI when needed. You should download the Manual/service manuals for Beovision 4, Beosystem 1 to 3 etc. from this site to get more knowlegde about how to set the system up.

    Re: Beosystem 1 EU

OK, thanks a lot! Your set-up seems similar to what I want to achive, good to know that others already are using that kind of a set-up. I have downloaded the Beosystem manuals and read them several times, I just thought that is was only the "RGB section" that I should look at in the monitor specs... Thanks again!/lano
