Graham, did you know that if you type "bang olufsen -manual" in the search box. It will omit all items with the word manual in the title, within that search. Used to this a few years back. When every other item was a pair of fake A8's.
Craig
Good point Craig. Although in my case I might still be inclined to do a double check in case I missed an item that came 'Complete with manual'!
Graham
You can set your search to automatically exclude certain sellers. For example by typing in 'Beomaster' on eBay UK search, it currently returns 54 results - most of them copied manuals. By excluding just two sellers it's produces 11 results - all of them actual units (that come with or without manuals).
To do this:
Advanced search - to the right of the normal search button in My Ebay or elsewhere
Enter 'Beomaster' or whatever you want to search for
Tick/check the box Save This Search To My Ebay
Go Down to Sellers and tick/check Only Show Items From
Change the drop down box to read Exclude and enter the sellers who's listings you don't want to see. In my case...

Separate them with a comma.
Click on Search at the bottom and it will show you the search results then a small box pops up asking if you want to save this search. Uncheck the Email box unless you want to be bombarded with emails and click on Save.
To find this search at a later date click on Advanced Search and it will be on the top right in the drop down box Favorite Searches
