    Com 6000 PIN CODE

Just bought a 2nd hand 6000. Can't get hold of the PIN code at moment. Anyone know a short cut to get it started?

The BeoCom 6000 does not have a PIN code, you get that prompt if the PSTN base has maximum handsets registered (I'm guessing this is not the case) or the handset is registered to several bases.  Reset the handset by pressing 'dot' 70009.  If it still does not register, de-register all your handsets, reset them and re-register them 1 by 1.  Do not reset your base because you will lose all your phonebook entries,

The BeoCom base has a 4 digit pin code, the default which most people don't change is 0000

    Regards Keith....

While we're on the subject, I just bought 6 handsets and pyramid chargers (For £427!) and when they arrived, I was shocked to find they are the new type with headset sockets.
Unfortunately the manual was for the old type. I downloaded one of Peter's manuals but it doesn't say what the equivalent of dot 70001 is. To get to the s/w version.
    Anybody know, Keith?
