    Welcome to Beoworld !

What info are you looking for and why do you think that none of the info given in the product guide is correct ?

The Beovox 1500 is a rare speaker.
It has a pleasant sound for it's age, most likely because it has a considerable size for a 15W speaker.
Not a party-speaker but it will sound fine with a Beomaster 900 or similar.

Hi Martin I have a pair of these speakers which i found dumped at the local recycling center, i've been using them with an old valve amp wired through our digital tv and think they sound wonderful. The dimensions, weight and power handling are nothing like whats stated on here, so suspect the frequency response mentioned is also probably not correct and would like to know what this is. i also found a pair of B and O 2702's  and swapped the seas tweeters to the 1500's. Oh yes, the dimensions are definitely wrong, too small.

Maybe you can give us the correct dimensions ?
And maybe a brief description for us to include in the produt guide ?
That would be nice.  Big Smile

    Thanks, Peter.
    The photos are OK.
Maybe we should add that a 2-pin DIN socket is also provided for an external tweeter.

It was a real pleasure to give them a listening; I gave them as much help as I could by matching the components and records.

    Cheers, Steve

    Re: beovox ht 1500 speakers

My experience with the Beovox HT 1500 (Type 6209)

To be honest I bought those speakers for their name. B&O. Sounds great, dosn't it? Gave them a short listening and decided I would sell them again. Not that I realized any faults, it was just there was no „shock and awe“-feeling if you get what I mean. They simply seemed to be ordinary.

For sale I did a short research and hit on the review for the HT 1500 (or Type 6209) on this site. The review being very positive about these speakers I decided to give them another listening.

And it was good that I did, because otherwise I would lack a wonderful impressive speaker today. These old speakers are incredibly good. Yes, incredible good. The more I listen to them (by comparing them to other speakers) the more I am impressed.

I don't own any current B&O, but I do own some MB Quart, Canton, Boston Acoustics, ACR and some more. And wow these Babys pull it off:

The HT 1500 have a decent bass output, you notice it, it is powerful, it is crisp and best of all – its not overpowering and it fits nicely with the rest of the Mids and Highs.

These speakers sound clear, lofty, wide open, with a lot of rich, natural detail. I simply love them.

If you have the opportunity to buy a pair in working order, why not give them a try? They are worth it. They are probably not the best money can buy, but they are among the best you can buy for little money.

And don't ask me why you can plug in an external tweeter, the built-in tweeter is wonderful as it is!

    Martin
