    BV7-40 Motorized Stand Failure

After a few years running without any problems the motorized stand moved far right without any apparent reason. Switching TV on-off-on does not have any effect. After switching on, the stand moves to the position as programmed for video mode but immediately after reaching this position, it turnes itself again far right. Anybody experienced such a failure? It is a BV7-40 mark II, STB attached via Scart.

    Regards, Reinhard

Switching TV on-off-on does not have any effect. After switching on, the stand moves to the position ...

As a first step try the following procedure - sometimes it resolves the problem:

    - unplug the cable to the stand

    - disconnect (unplug !) power of your TV

    - wait 1-2 min and reconnect to the mains - w/o stand beeing connected
making the TV "believe" there is no stand connected and erasing it's memory

    - turn on TV for 1 minute

    - disconnect (unplug !) power of your TV

    - wait 1-2 min and reconnect to the cable to the stand

    - restore power

    - wait 1 min before switching on

    - wait 1 min before before you run through the setup for positions of audio, video & standby

    - now you should be able to store these positions again...

If this does not help I'd call B&O service for a homeservice ...
