    MCL 2E

I own a very old system...5500.  I should have bought an MCL 2E link expander years ago (for the adding of future links) and I did not and i know the accessory is no longer manufactured.

Would anyone know if and where i might be able to purchase an MCL 2E??

    Thanks,

    Bill Hayhurst

    Re: MCL 2E

Hi Bill - welcome to Beoworld. Smile

What are you wanting to connect to your sysytem? I'm assuming you have the Beomaster 5500, if so there may be other options.

    Chris.

    Hi Chris,

    Thanks for responding.
I do own the Beomaster 5500 receiver.
When I ran the master control link (MCL) cable (20 years ago) I daisy chained it to a "central closet" where I then ran additional cables to the rest of the rooms.
(From the 5500 master location...I ran an MCL cable to "power" an adjoining room (kitchen-presently not connected)..dead ends there. I ran a second MCL cable (connects to the 5500) to a bathroom...daisy chain to a bedroom and then run downstairs to a bathroom...where I have MCL cables that run to the last three rooms).
I presently run the speakers in the same room as the 5500, and three additional rooms via the master link connection.  I was planning to add speakers in an additional room...realizing that as the 4th link this would be the last room I could "link" to the system.  I have run the MCL wire to three additional rooms that I was hoping to add over time.
I should have purchased the MCL 2E years ago...and I know they no longer make it.
When I built this house...it was constructed as a "super insulated" home (polyurethane foam insulation...very tough to "fish" wires).  It also has no attic access (I could cut a hole in the ceiling to create...but would prefer not to).
So I am "worried" that if some of the options include running the latest version of the MCL cable...that may be an "impossible" task.
Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Best Regards,
    Bill

I got a MCL 2E that I'm not using but I might sometime in the future so I'm keeping it.

It was on US ebay and since I'm located in Denmark I got the power supply for US voltage if you need it.

    Re: MCL 2E

I think there was also a 2E  and a Masterlink converter and with a few more MCL2AV's in storage. I will have to look. I am trying to clear all the extra  B&o out.  These are free if you are in the US.  I have no use for them and would rather see a fellow Beoworlder smile than wonder if they overpaid.

    Hi Papichullo,

My name is Bill Hayhurst and I do live in the US.  If you are going to dispose of these items (especially the 2E) I would be very grateful to receive them.

Please advise what info you need from me.

    Thanks very much.

    Best Regards,

    Bill
