My deepest and truly apologies to the English U19 team. I visited the FA homepage and took the team picture heading the page, asuming it was the South African corps, but I now see it was the U19 team. Maybe even the FA will forget about SA already ...

I finally had the energy to go home and check my mail... a package slip had arrived, and it was waiting at the post office. I picked it up and drove back to the summer house. Remember when you were a kid and hoped for hard presents for Christmas? This was soft on the surface, but still marked both fragile & agile!

So I cut through the wrappers... oh, it's from Beoworld!

And inside the sleeve, a nice cardboard box (as you see I was too excited to carry in the Beogram I brought with me, before unwrapping this all on the garden table)

And the box is even nicer in the inside!

The prize looks really nice, and even has small rubber feet so you can safely display it on a Beogram! What don't they think of?

My humble thanks to all who voted, Beoworld, the members who make it so lively, Lee, and the rest of the team keeping it running.

I'd just like to take a moment to add my thanks again for everything that BeoWorld is and does! As mentioned, with the likes of Andy, Pounch, Sonk (buttered horse should have taken this lovely award home), Graham, Mika, NIKO! and so many others... this was the easiest award I ever won! What a great bunch we have here!

As Mika has already handled the obligatory Andy-unpacking pics... I'll get right to the goods!

The members vote for the winners moxxey - it's not the moderators voting for the moderators (but there is a 'lodda love' in the team)

Totally agree. I just thought it might be more wise to take out the "staff" from the votes? For example, on our IT forums, admin and moderators can't enter competitions, can't vote, can't be voted for etc etc.

You'll always find mods, admin and similar members write the most posts, which is primarily the reason they were made mods in the first place :)

Good question. None of us receive an award, even though we answer most of the questions. However, there is a lot of input from general members (who, perhaps, really want to become moderators). I guess they see this as a step towards promotion - some people take forums that seriously.

If the admin/moderators were taken out of the voting, I'd have gone for TripEnglish. Despite his "humour", it's regular people like Trip that make this board enjoyable.

Another question Moxxey would be to ask if when the mods etc. are excluded from the vote, do regular members still bother to participate? If they're annoyed at not being able to vote for their favourite member in a particular category (assuming they're one of your mods), then do they simply vote with their feet and not participate in the vote at all? That would be a shame if it were to happen here IMO, but I too have noticed that the previous winners have been drawn from a select pool and cannot really see that changing in future.
