Evening all :)
Got a Beomaster 1000 today from eBay for £25 on a BIN! It's pretty flawless and all works fine except that the mains cable has been cut at some point and is about 2' long. I'd rather not splice another in as I don't have anything to join it up with. Is it an easy job to just replace the mains cable at the transformer end, and if so, how do I get the thing apart??

The BM itself?
(5) screws on bottom (graphic provided on bottom).
(2) on each side visible thru the "slots" and (1) roughly center in the grill that has a long spanning body.
P.S. Congrats on a cool piece!
Thanks Jeff!
I might take a look. One other question. I have an input from my Airport Express running into an adjacent Beolab 5000 amp. Is there a 5 pin DIN output on the 5000 amp that I could use to connect the 5000 and the 1000 together, so that the 1000 can take the feed from the 3.5mm to 5 pin DIN jack that's connected to the 5000 - if that makes sense??
I suppose you could use the tape out - there are lots of connections on the 5000 so take your pick! There is also a line out in both DIN and RCA.
Thanks Peter - I'm currently using the tape in on the 5000 to hook the Airport Express in. Will the line out still work, or would I be better swapping the Airport over to something like the Aux in?
Is it a black or white key model John?

For millions of years, mankind lived just like the animals. Then something happened which unleashed the power of our imagination. We learned to talk and we learned to listen..
It's black Craig - I would have prefered a white keyed one but for £25 beggars can't be choosers :)
I popped a photo of this on the 'Flash Your B&O' thread :)
