    CDM12 IND

    hello

I have a CDM12 IND pickup that read cd but when I power on the unit it doesn't find the disc. If I try and try it starts to read and reads all the disc I insert without problem.

On the net I found that the cdm12 ind could be replaced by the CD-Pro2LF

    http://www.akustik-perfekt.homepage.t-online.de/the-audio-collection/english/cdplayer/buildingblocks/cdm12_to_cd-pro2.html

but in this site there is a note

    http://www.diy-high-end.com/

Does someone tried to replace the CDM12 ind?

    Thanks in advance

PS: the unit is a Century

    Eugenio

The CD-PRO2LF is downward pin compatible but not suited as replacement for older systems with clock insertion.

The CD-PRO2LF can’t be used for B&O repairs.

I would suggest emailing the second address and asking for suggestions. They clearly have experience in this field.

    this is the reply

The problem is software and version related.

It simply does not work and we do not support it.

So none solved this problem before? Or I'm asking something known as "know how"?

In other topics much technical replies has been published, more than this,  on this topic there was only a tech reply (discovered this morning at 4:45 ) on the net on another place, not so much TOP SECRET; I think none want to reply to my ask and this is not a pleasure for me.

Please erase me from Beoworld database and delete my account.

Thanks a lot, today is not a good day and I want to share with you...

    Re: CDM12 IND

B&O do have kits available for some products which allow the use of CD Pro II. It consists of the CD Pro II mechanism complete with servo board unique to B&O and a new and much modified interface board.

The kit is available for Beocenter 9300 and Beosound Ouverture and some of it's derivatives. I do not know if a kit is available for the Century although I suggest that it would be prohibitively expensive to consider fitting in this model.

The mechanism supplied by B&O includes a unique servo board and is unavailable elsewhere.

I am sorry that you have decided to terminate your membership of BeoWorld although I suspect that we cannot help you further with this particular problem.

    Regards Graham

So you've had the patience to wait over an entire weekend to get an off-the-shelf answer to a problem that probably is known to perhaps 0-2 members? Pretty quick if you ask me...
