    Fabulous Oli

your ceiling arrangement is interesting !

and the decore is ... well fabulous

Sorry for taking so long to reply; I had to have a chat with Cliff rather than rely on my memory Laughing

As I understand Cliff's explanation, the installation team used white plastic plates that match the colour of the wall.

Two types of plates are used:

    a) in the main rooms for the power and powerlink cable they used an RF aerial plate, but remove the the aerial so there was just a round hole through which they could then thread the cables

    b) in Cliff's study where his Macs are, they used a plate that also had an ethernet socket

    I hope that helps

Interesting question ... my latest addition is my week old BeoLab 11 ... and I can't decide whether to leave it on the floor, proudly on display ... or tuck it around the corner (the placement guide says to have it between the Beolab 3s), or actually place it on the cabinet between the BV8 and the BL3 (I am concerned with false reverberations)

So I would be interested in other people's options.

[ of course I could just simply "DO IT" and listen to what is sounds like Laughing ]

    Seanie,

We have the same projector screen. Have you had difficulty with it retracting via the 12-volt trigger? Very often, mine does not retract and I have to pull out the screen's remote and hold down on the "up" button. I wonder if this has something to do with setting the stops on the screen. I've never set the stops. Have you had any such issues?

BTW, a very light sanding with sandpaper will remove the "Panoview" lettering on the front of the screen casing without damaging the finish. I found that the screen casing is less noticeable after I sanded off the lettering.

    Re: Flash your B&O!

    Hi Beojeff

I have never had a problem with the 12v Trigger

I have the manual remote switch set to 0 and the up down set to 0 also.

I have never had any problems with it, i have not set the stops on mine as i did not know how to do it and at present it drops down level with the bottom of my bv7 screen so its perfect.

it would be good to know how to use the stops then i could set the screen to drop to just above the lab9's lense.

If the house i buy one day has a bay window i will keep this screen but if not then i will get a hidden celing one which i think will be pretty cool.

Maybe you have a naff trigger cable, buz it out with a multimeter.

Thanks for the response Elephant. I'll have a look at this tonight and see if I can get something working. I was going to go with UK PL sockets and back boxes with an AUS mains plug sited next to it, but this is even neater.

BTW: how are you finding the BL11? This is next on my "shopping" list provided I can develop a suitable 'body of evidence' to support the purchase!
