auclutch,
I just noticed this and I'm curious...
Is that the permanent placement for you're BeoCom 2 there next to you're bose lifestyle?
It says just above the picture: "I never got around to installing the beocom 2 so it's sitting on the table... "
Wow, haha I guess I was just properly tired when I posted that!

I guess that'll be a pain to polish! Are the Labs going to be on the wall anytime soon?
Kevin: I really like your setup. Great combination of old and new. Is that an 8002 Gram?

Hi Stoney. Yes that was an 8002. I just sold it a couple weeks ago and a 4002 with a Grado conversion is on its way. I'll post pics once I get it.

Yes, I know it was sad that the wall mount beocom had to sit on a table. In fact, we are redesigning our new house and the beocom's are now finding their new rooms. it's a shame that the Beocom 6000's and 2's that I have are not compatible, even with a beoline. such is life...

This is a great thread with some stunning photos!
Here is my Beosystem at work.
(Don't ask why, I simply have too much stuff at home so I had to expand to work and as I have my own small office room I felt that would be an ideal place to have some lighter B&O system)
Beomaster 4500 + Beogram CD4500, Beovox 3000 Flat panel -speakers. These panels do sound good but have quite a weak bass so I have attached a Genelec 1091A subwoofer (we have few of those not in use at the moment so I offered to store it on my office!) to the system and that sounds simpy stunning!)
Above the speakers I have two-part B&O 75 anniversary poster. The BM and the speakers were bought from a friend some months ago, Beogram CD from Lifestyle-AV (over eBay) and the posters from eBay.de.

Nice set up to have at work. If you get some spare time, hide the cables.
Isn´t one of the speakers upside down? Or doesn´t it matter with those?

Thanks.
I had some problems getting a suitable subwoofer cable but thanks to tournedos, I just finished it and installed today. Now I have all the cables in place I will hide the cables, they really spoil the looks.
When I bought the speakers, a friend of mine had two pairs of those for sale. I bought one pair and picked the best conditioned ones, and only much later noted they should be mirrored - I took two of the same side speakers instead! The other pair was already sold and the buyer hadn't noted that either so it's too late now. Anyway these are the better looking ones and it doesn't look bad at all having to identical ones. I can't flip one upside down as they have the BANG & OLUFSEN text on the front.

Ha, ha! I´m sure you can´t hear any difference. And I think it´s only beoworlders who notice it.

I suppose it's only for the symmetry, the speaker elements being furthest away from each other. In my setup the speakers are anyway just less than a meter away from each other so it doesn't really make that much difference. Also as I don't sit exactly at the center of the speakers and have to adjust balance it's really no problem.
And yes, only Beoworlders will notice!

Done! I just happened to find a piece of cable wrap, just long enough to hide the cables, then I fixed it to the left-side of the shelf.
Much neater now!

Hi Acanthus,
Very nice and neat set up you have in your living room.
BTW, what is the brand of your coffee table? It's very stylish.
Thanks for your reply.
Cheers,
Guy

One of the speakers being the wrong way up (or, actually, the wrong side right!) will attract more attention than the "BANG & OLUFSEN" text being at the top, upside down. Nobody's going to read that anyway.
If you're really picky, you can always swap out the bezel with the bezel from a right-hand side BV3000/BL3000 speaker. There's probably some dead ones around somewhere, so any bit's worth saving from the bin. Especially when it's really shiny, polished stainless!

The Beo4 is compatable with the Lutron Grafik Eye, which can be seen between the ladder rungs to the left of the image. The bespoke Saxum ladder is a second attempt to create a lighter ladder and the rungs were replaced and color matched with the blue anodised BeoCenter 6-23 and BeoCom2.
Wow, that was really nice. Lots of blue details! Lovely!
