    Avant 32 digital module

Now that we have lost analogue TV in our area, is there a freeview or freesat module available for the Avant?

The recommended box used to be made by Panasonic (TU-30???). Best to look at your STB list and then search for a compatible freeview box.

If you haven't got the STB module then you need to sound out your dealer.  It's now getting to the point on the second-hand CRT market that it will soon be cheaper to get a later Avant TV with the latest module and chip rather than buy them new and have them fitted to an old set!  If you've got a module with an old chip  then the most universal approach will be to use a Skybox  for freesat as the Skyboxes seem to have been listed on all STB menus  and the codes are still the same now as they were 5 or 10 years ago.

Many thanks Graham, I have been using a SKY box, but as the set was sourced from Europe, there is no STB module fitted.  I will check with my dealer but suspect that it is time for the set to go.
