Are you you using the Sky box in the bedroom or are you using the one in the main room? You can control the box in the main room from the bedroom from almost any set - I use an LX6000 which has no STB-C as you are actually using the STB-C in the main room set. The problem you may have if you want to control a bedroom Sky box is getting the STB card for an MX. They are not available officially any more so you need a set with one fitted already.

    Re: What TV

hi Peter yeah sorry i want to be able to control a seperate sky box connected in the bedroom just for freeview as i dont really bother with link room video.

If not an MX with Sky conrtol in the range of other smaller TV's (second hand) will work with masterlink (AV V.MEM) and STB?

I don't think you should have an issue with any set as long as you can get the STB-C. Just look out for one that has it already fitted. The MX1500 is a non starter. The MX is, as you have already worked out, the obvious choice. A BV1 with the ML connection would be another.

V.MEM is the same command as V.TAPE, so yes!

    hi peter,

are you shure that the stb's controllers are not available ?

three weeks before x-mas my dealer installed one in an old avant vtr an

the other one in an old mx7000 with two new software IC's (version 4/19).

i spent / sold the tv's for the controllers price to a friend.

    with kind regards

    SERENE

The Avant one is still available but the one for the AV9000/MX seems trickier to find.

    Re: What TV

hello i have done some reading on the main site under products and BV1

It says that the BV1 is availible in LS version also.

is it correct that the normal bv1 is controlled by a beo1 and a BV1 LS is controlled via a Beo4.

can the BV1 be controlled by a beo4?

also it says the BV1 LS cannot have the STB controller installed.

can the normal one access Sound from the main room as it says the normal one is a main room tv??/

    Hi Seanie,

Later BV1's and BC1's came with Beo4 which I think also works on the earlier models. I use a BC1 as a stand alone TV separate from my Avant. It has the advantage of the  built-in DVD and a very adequate sound system, plus FM radio. (Bought it from a guy who originally had it working as a link from a BV6 with Sky if I wasn't mistaken.)
