    Setting V.OPT on Beosystem 3

    Hi,

Has anyone got any ideas why I can't set my V.OPT on my Beosystem 3 to 2? Having tried it both with the ML plug in and out, it defaults to 1 each time - this means I can't play my Overture in the same room (but works everywhere else). Has anyone else seen the same issue?

Is your Overture connected to the Beosystem III by Masterlink or is it stand alone?

    Beovision 7-55 with Beolab 7-4, 9s and 4000s

    Beovision 10-40 with Beolab 1s and 6000s

    Beosound 1, 5, 2000, and 3000

    Beotime, Beotalk, Beocoms

    Hi

I assume that you have the BeoSystem3 connected to  BeoVision4 plasma screen? If so when you option programme the BeoSystem3 does the red led blink to confirm that the command has been accepted?

Have you tried looking in the customer service menu to see what option has been stored?

The system is in stand-by when you program it?

Re: Setting V.OPT on Beosystem 3

    In reply to your questions:

    1. Yes, it is in standby when setting the option - it's the only way to do it I believe.

    2. The IR receiver doesn't have the connection for the LED (I use the 3.5mm jack) but it is working well as I can control the system with the remote otherwise.

    3. It is in the CS menu that I check that the Beosystem 3 is still in V.Opt.1

    4. The overture is connected via ML.

    Regards

    Use the original IR-eye!

How does that help? The only difference between the cabling is for the lights on the eye (I'm using an original eye, but without all pins connected).

I also don't have the cabling....

Problem solved with a full system reset to factory settings. Took ages to reset everything afterward
