LX/MX motor stand plug wiring
I have aquired a motor stand for my old LX but it has lost its plug.
There are 4 wires; green, white, yellow and brown.
Does anyone know to which pin each wire goes?
Better still, if anyone has one could you possibly open the plug and post a picture?
Thanks,
Richard

Re: LX/MX motor stand plug wiring
Thanks Jaff
I have a similar diagram in my LX5500 manual but it does not state which wire is which. As a last resort I can strip the stand down so see which colour wire goes to the motor and which to the position transducer but I was hoping to avoid that if possible...

Re: LX/MX motor stand plug wiring
In case anyone else ever needs to know how to wire an MX motor stand I will document it here: -
Pin 1 - Yellow
Pin 3 - White
Pins 2 & 4 - Green & Brown (pins 2 & 4 are connected on the board)
The motor unit has far more to it than I expected; 2 pcbs with some kind of Intel chip, a crystal, about 6 small capacitors and lots of smd.

Re: LX/MX motor stand plug wiring
Thank you for posting I've seen this asked a number of times, and I don't think anybody ever provided the answer.
The stand communicates with the TV using a serial data protocol, and so must have its own brains doing the actual work. That Intel chip must be the microcontroller then.
