Re: Who will be the first to have BV10 at home?
I imagine the first deliveries will be in Denmark - it is already launched there - I hope to get mine at some time in November.

What is the picture of the BV10 expected to be like compared to for instance the 100hz BV7 with blu-ray that I have had for a few months?

Re: Who will be the first to have BV10 at home?
Dealer in Luxembourg will have the demo set around 20th November. I ordered one and supposedly it will arrive only a couple of days later.
Really looking forward to it. Saw the new 40 LED Samsung. Superb image, and with a loudspeaker just below the TV taking the whole width. Isn't the BV10 using a Samsung panel?

Re: Who will be the first to have BV10 at home?
The Edge lit LED Samsung screens seem to review very well, especially the 200Hz models. I expect it to be superior but I also expect the 7 to continue its upgrade path. If you remember the first BC7s, they were pretty dire (though no worse than other LCD sets!), if not as bad as the BV6. They have improved considerably.

As I've said, many many times.....the BV7-40 MKIV has an *oustanding* picture, as long as the source is outstanding. The picture is only good if you deliver the TV with a decent source - Sky HD, as an example. The BV10-40 won't process a poor signal, more effectively. LCDs have a bad habit of showing SD content 'as is', so if you only watch analogue SD sourced TV, a BV7-40 or BV10-40 isn't for you.
If you watch a Blu-ray on your BV7-40 versus a BV10-40, they'll be very few differences at all. One thing you will benefit from is far improved audio :)

Re: Who will be the first to have BV10 at home?
I agree - the analogue receiver in mine will be switched off with the DVB-HD and Sky HD receivers being used. Mine arrives on the 25th of November - could have been a couple of days earlier but no free time!

My dealer called me yesterday, and said my BV10 will be delivered in about ten days. That should be the 26th of November. Give or take a few days.

Looks great. And I concur. Love mine, however I asked my dealer how much he would give for the BV5 I have if I bought a BV10... 1000 euro! I took it as an insult.

If you really need to get rid of it some day, I can definitely offer a little more than that!
It's a bit like with buying cars. Just about invariably you will get more if you sell the old one yourself instead of offering it as a part exchange to the dealer. They are forced to offer a warranty when selling them on (but get none from you), may have big trouble selling them, and all this is reflected in the prices.
I almost threw my phone through the window when my mother called the other day and told she had bought a new car and left the old one at the dealer for a really lousy price, without talking to me first. I could've paid 25% more there and then and still get a great deal. And this wasn't even the first time that happened

Re: Who will be the first to have BV10 at home?
If you don't attach it properly, the set falls off! You need three people to mount it! Two to hold the set and one to do up the bolts.
Saw it in the flesh today again - not mine but when I went to pay for mine. For some reason, the dealer had been given the ghastly orange fret!

Re: Who will be the first to have BV10 at home?
What is so ghastly about this orange? With a modern, bright and colorful interior (with pieces from say, Ligne Roset), the orange might go quite well.
I have actually put down a deposit for an orange BV 10, and am thinking of pairing it with white BL 9's. Someone tell me if this would look good or if my design sense has completely run amok.
(There's 5 months until it arrives in the US, so there's plenty of time to refine the decision)

My wife is like that ! Yesterday she was very happy coos she sold one our old monitor, her happiness was coos she sold it very quickly for about a day..... and you guess ..... she put 1/3 of normal used price and of course she sold it for a day
She was so happy that she told me, can we sell some ours others old stuff ??? again you guess my answer !
when your Black Label begin to taste like juice just take shot or two of Absinthe and
after that quench with some vodka, if you still feel juice like take beer
with grappa !

Well, certainly a brave combination. I think I would prefer a white front with white BL9s...
I have ordered the black front. Conservative, I, ??
