    I think so.....

taken on a phone, and I'venot done this before....

BV10 is on its Motorissed stand, on a cupboard, in a "boardroom" layout. Will be wall mounted in the longterm

I saw the BV10 in Helsinki yesterday, it is stunning to say the least. Bit disappointed about the sound coming from it... doesn't seem like B&O to me... granted it was at a fair show, so the background noise was terrible, but it sounded like a samsung, sony or any of the other.

    Anyway, here are some pics:

Just as a side note, I want one! It's at the top of my "to get" list, but I'm not going to get a TV that doesn't have the "beo" sound. I have grew accustomed to the BV5 and it's awesome sound, and I know I can't expect the same, but what I heard yesterday was nothing special, and didn't sound or feel like a dedicated center channel.

I will go for a better demo once it is available at the store to have a listen in a better environment.

Re: BeoVision 10 - Exclusive Premier at Fritz Hansen Show Room

I was at an event at Audis place at Amager, Copenhagen yesterday, where I saw the BV10 for the first time, and I absolutely loved it. I'm amazed at how the wallbracket can support 46Kg in those two little spots.
I think that I would place it on the floorstand, as It would look silly with my BL1 standing "in front" of the TV, if it hung on the wall.

I had a little talk with the owner of the shop that displayed the B&O, and he said that if I wanted the BV9, (which I do), he had one used at his shop, so I'm going to see if it's a good price, because that TV is my dream :-)

But the BV10 is definitly a possibility instead of the much more expensive BV9, very elegant.

Beautiful and realistic pictures! I think it would look rather lovely with a pair of BL1's having the screen wall mounted (BV4 always was!). I'm sorry, but the floorstand, in the photos, looks absolutely dreadful & cheap, like a loewe.

These photos of it on the wall look really nice, it looks good with a BS4. Shame to hear that the sound was not anything to get excited about... but what did we expect ~ really?

Beautiful pictures of a beautiful tv.... indeed.

I was thinking about upgrading next year to a BV8.... but seeing more pictures of the BV10...I am totally in love with this one. This TV is made for wall mounting and looks totally compromised on a floorstand...sorry.

In this setting, off course the quality of the sound is lost in a 10.000 sq feet hall... no doubt about it.

I suppose you are right, the physical limits is working against good sound in that small slim box, but still... it's a 6000+ euro TV, it should have good sound. I'm not too keen about the idea with a separate dedicated center speaker if I was to be unhappy with the BV10 built-in speaker.

Strange your feeling about the sound.

B&O put the stress on the very good quality of the speaker system.

But you're right, maybe we are too accustomed in the amazing sound of the BV5,BV7...

A 6000 euro TV *should* have sound that matches the price. Bayerische, is it mainly the lack of bass which concerns you, or is there something else (lack of detail, unclear voices, shrill highs etc.)? My current TV is a BV 8-32 which also serves as my main speakers (it's masterlinked to my Ouverture). Very acceptable sound! Due to the smaller dimensions of my room, I'm not using a separate pair of speakers. The BV 10 would replace the BV 8 if I were to get it. At the very least, it should sound better than the BV 8...

By the way, thanks for the photos! Orange is a great complement to a contemporary room.

    Leo,

Given was that there was Beolab5's connected to the BV4 - 103 playing Rolling Stones 40 licks tour, and my dealer put the sound onto to BV10 from the previous system. But it wasn't playing loud before. What I experienced (from a very short demo) was lack of middle and bass tones, and too much treble. I didn't ask him about any settings, I just commented that it's no BV5, and he agreed.

But as I said, it really deserves a better audition in a better environment.

Thanks guys for your compliments for my pictures.

Re: BeoVision 10 - Exclusive Premier at Fritz Hansen Show Room

I just thought of something that I never gave a thought about on the other models.

I'm used to my BV Avant having a little display telling me which channel I'm on, volume etc, but how does the BV10, (and other new BVs), display that?? Is it OSD (On Screen Display)??

Yes I got that from your picture, but don't like the idea of "extra" speakers for the tv. The TV should be enough. Otherwise we end up with a "component set" IMO.
