i really can not fathom what all the fuss was/is about. it really isn't anything gound-breaking in terms of design. what is so novel, pioneering and undone-before about its appearance???

Hmm, I'm not so sure about this. The BV10 looks better *off* than it does turned on. Doesn't anyone else find the gap between the panel and speaker, slightly annoying? This is exaggerated by the different colour speaker cloth. It looks like a great TV for the price. If they brought out a 46" edition, it would be perfect and a step up from my BV7-40. At the moment though, doubt I could give up a BV7-40 for this.

The black "gap" below and above the screen is not as large as on this photo. They are showing a film that is larger than 16/9, therefore you have additional black bars at the bottom and above.

I like it, still a flat panel to be honest and I do prefer the 7-40.. that said it is very very nice. What is curious is the placement of "Bang & Olufsen"... looks odd at the top... should have just etched the brand name onto the glass...

+1 It looks really weird, nothing like the other B&O products.. It looks a bit out of balance when the logo is not in between the screen and the speaker.

That was exactly what I thought - how awesome would that look! I already have a pair of BL5K's - now I just need to win the lottery so I can afford a BV10. Just bought a house, so I guess a BV10 is not really in the cards anytime soon

When we visited the factory, they explained us they spent a lot of time choosing a Bang & Olufsen Red and a Bang & Olufsen Blue, that they'll use accross the line... and there what do we get: A different blue and an... Orange!!! So if I had blue or Red Beolab 9, I could not match them with this TV, this is a bit weird... Otherwise I think it really is a nice TV and I am sure it is going to be a big success. The design is clean and good. No need to make something new. For example I also would prefer a BS 3200 with a SD card slot instead of these BS 4.

Like others above, I think I might have finally found the replacement for my Avant DVD, going to the launch in Sydney
tomorrow so get to see it there.
Product specifications doesn’t do the connectivity options much justice, I had to go through the manual to understand this and the flexibility it offers

Although the design is underwhelming (to me). I can understand how it must be difficult to come up with something "fresh" from an already refined television design language.
I'm glad to see that there may finally be a successor to the almighty Avant. Hopefully the rest of the company will continue to listen to their customers and provide for a wider audience than the niche / rich[e].

Hmmm... as a B&O owner for 12 years (and my father for many years before that), we also have a Loewe Spheros 42HD plasma. More plasticky, yes, but in general well-designed and very pleasant to look at. Never considered Loewe "cheap" and "tacky". Bose might be another matter. If it wasn't for the (to me) strange looking floorstand, I'd be all over the BeoVision 10. Yes - you knock a big hole in the wall behind the BV10 etc etc.............................................. No different to any other TV really! I do not have so many things connected to my Beovision 7, but all the cables grouped together  are about the diameter of my fist. It would have made sense to deport all the connections to a separate box, like the BC2. Also they show a Video with the TV moving away from the wall, which is a great idea as you're not always facing a wall when watching TV, but they have not motorised it :-(  | |
