    Stunning !

It's time for Karel to update his BV3 (and for me too) ! Laughing

Indeed... but first I have to pay for an apartment... kitchen, bathroom. But... The BV10 would fit nicely :-)

Looking into photo 3 from your picasa link... wall brackets for BL6000 are quite new, or I just never saw it on B&O catalogue?

    I do like it!!!! :)

Thanks for these "professional" images!! I admit the photos from the press launch were rather underwhelming. OK, very underwhelming. The setting seemed inappropriate. But these new photos, plus the ones in Picassa, are stunning.

Yes, I agree the design isn't groundbreaking, but I like how they took a classic shape and refined it. Just like Jaguar's flagship XJ sedan whose appearance stayed the same until recently. Many of us say, "I love the design of so-and-so product, just wish they added so-and-so feature..." Voila, here's the BV 10-40 to satisfy our desires. :-)

Re: First pictures of BV 10

This press presentation just looks like the worst presentation I've ever seen for such a product...

Remember why the official pictures where deleted in Beoworld ? - "B&O spent a huge amount of money to make an outstanding press launch"...

So if THIS presentation cost a lot of money, I know understand why B&O prices are so high... That's not what I can call "money well spent".

The press release picture are just awful, with a lot of reflections... Now try to explain to your friends that B&O has some special antireflection coatings on this TV... The "forbidden" pictures of Beoworld were just so much better for the image of this TV!

I just think that the people who organised the press event have made B&O pay for the DBS and the "garage", and now they can keep the DBS after the show!!

I had not heard that the BeoLab 6000 frets would be available in blue as shown in one of the photos. This is an interesting development.

Re: First pictures of BV 10

Do we know if the "tilt" function is motorised like the BV7-40 or manual like the BV6 and BV7-32 ?

Re: First pictures of BV 10

The stand is motorized and can turn left & right. It can also be tilted up/down manualy.

One little remark about the press conderence pictures. These pictures were taken by a blogger; not by an official B&O photographer.

But I have to admit that I've seen prettier surroundings for a product presentation.

Re: First pictures of BV 10

    I don't remember the options :

    - Contrast screen

    - Motorised stand

    - Speakers cloth in different colors

    - Anything else ( ethernet, new ML...) ?

    Options for sure:

    - speaker cloth

    - motorised stand

Don't have any clue on other options.

The reason we get excited about the BV10 is that finally we have the iconic design of the BV5 at an affordable price and with technology that puts it at a level where one can finally see a reason to replace a CRT. Very slim and excellent sound. All at a similar price to the Avant - OK no DVD but it does have DVB-T and it is also possible to customise the buttons on the Beo4 so that the analogue TV button has a use.

I think it is great! I this the demo facility is appalling though!

I was very disappointed with the first "garage" pictures, then got very excited with the professional pictures, then got disappointed again with the audio specs: have you seen the frequency response? It goes "down" to...85 Hz! That's exactly similar to a BV8, and not even close to a good old MX 8000, so for those who thought it would be a replacement to an Avant or BV5, sorry, but using the built-in speakers as a center speaker on this model would be way too poor for me. I'll keep my BV7-32 then..Wink

On the links posted, there are several pictures of the BeoCom 5, by the way!

Did you really expect that a 6000€ TV would give a better sound that a 10000€ TV? That's the only area where B&O can still say that the BV7 is more "high end" than the BV10!

By the way, it's well done in term of marketing : the BV10 goes only to 85Hz : no problem, the new sub can add the missing bass if you need it, and with wall mount possibility! 85Hz is just clever product placement!Cool

No problem as I will be using it in my main room with a surround system - the central speaker will be for voices mainly - the BL2 can take care of the LFE!

Never mind the 'launch' pictures as they didn't do anyone any favors.

The other (pro) pictures were very nice. Especially love the one with the wall-mounted BL6000's in white or color .... stunning.
I like the looks of the new TV very much with it's no-frills minimalist design. Exactly what I expect from B&O.
Also love the wall mount/swivel idea.

If the final price is reasonable and picture quality and sound are up to B&O standards, I will certainly consider buying one if it gets released in the US/Canada market. ... and yes, ...... I'll buy a pair of wall mounted BL6000 to go with it. :0)

Does anyone know if the vertical position of the TV on the floor stand can be adjusted? The spacing between the metal disc and the TV bezel is slightly too wide for my taste.

I must say, I sent an email to my dealer asking the price... Laughing Must admit that the possibility of me buying the BV10 within 6 months is very high. Does it have cable receiver?

As the internal tuner is the same as the BV8, I think that you can receive cable TV by setting the TV Tuner to Danemark in order to get a DVB-C capability... Not officially supported, but some have reported that it works on other countries than Denmark

Looking at this picture, I would say... NO!

But it seems that the picture of the BV10 on the stand is shot a little bit too low, enhancing the gap between the TV and the disc. Maybe the stand will be the same for the BV10 50 : that would explain the big gap with the 40" screen...

Re: First pictures of BV 10

I quite like it, but its not love at first sight. Indeed I feel that the TV is too high on the floor stand (I prefer the BV5 or BV9 floor stands).

Also, I feel that the piece of glass between the screen and the speaker front is disturbing the proportions balance. In my view (as I attempt to show on pictures 2 and 3 hereunder):

    - either the speaker front should adjust neatly under the screen (à la BV5 and BV9, my preferred solution)

    - or the glass separation between the screen and the speaker front should be as thick as the surrounding (second best solution)

I just wonder what the designer justification would be for this piece of glass to be there and for the proportion thereof???

A little annoyed, but maybe I need to see it in the flesh.
