    Beolab 6000 Wall brackets

Any news on when these are going to be available?

The beoworld news article says June?

Any update on the pricing? £200 seems a bit pricey

    Regards Brett

I don't think that £200 is that bad, especially when you compare the prices of other B&O brackets and stands - the BL3 wall brackets are £100.

I really do not understand why B&O always annouces to launch new products, but then cancels the launch date. I think they really harm the company's image. It is due to facts like this, that Airbus has the trouble they do have right now, or at least had some months ago: they announced a product, but could not launch it in time. If B&O dealt with more expensice products (yes, more expensive than B&O), I think they would get a lot of trouble.

There are two ways to handle this, neither of which is acceptable to the Senior management and which one you pick depends on the ramifications of missing the launch date, both financial and PR wise.

The first is to launch anyway while continuing to fix the problems and put up with early warranty issues, the second is to dealy until everything is fixed (obviously the first option isn't open to the likes of AirbusLaughing).

Come to think of it there is actually a third option - delay until you think its fixed and then launch and continue to fix warranty issues while you revisit the problemLaughingLaughing

B&O seem to manage all three at once!

The delay is probably something simple like subcontractor problems or QA department discovering something in production models which was not apparent in the development examples. Could even be as simple as packaging delay or the installation manual is delayed.

When you are producing for the consumer market the product launch is not just a matter of taking a picture and selling it.

all of your reasons could be right and everydody would understand them, but why are B&O allways announcing products and not respecting the launch date. They should be able to include these problems into their planning, or just wait to see the first production models. Angry

    Re: Beolab 6000 Wall brackets

In complete fairness to B&O, it was a (let's say) 'unofficial' source that gave June as the launch date. However, the delayed launch is fact.

I think we can all come to terms with this, just as my wife has..  I am almost always late for everything - so when i say a time, my wife just adds half an hour!  So much so, that if she needs me somewhere by 7pm, she will say i MUST be there by 6.30.  When i arrive at 7pm, i'm actually on time!

As there are no moving parts, it can only really be a finish/defect problem. This cannot take months to fix surely!

Perhaps, while we're waiting, JAY could build us a pair using nothing but two Fairy liquid bottles and some sticky-back-plastic.Wink
